I get a fairly huge dps increase using Void Ray over ToC when there are more than 1 targets.
actions+=/touch_of_chaos,if=num_targets=1
actions+=/void_ray,if=num_targets>1
Not sure if this is due to void ray still having a 75% coefficient in my simcraft (504-4). Add the void ray line above Soul Fire and leave ToC where it is. My entire action list is below, it's my first time editing multiple targets so feel free to let me know if I did anything stupid.

There seems to be a problem with Hand of Gul'Dan: it's DPE is around 100k and it's average damage is under 20k (speaking single target here) while they should be the same (and my money is on the under 20k).

There's no problem, it's just counting Shadowflame damage as part of the DPE.

Yeah ... This did cross my mind and I didn't even check, pretty dumb of me.
On a rather close subject, I tried to ameliorate the way the said hand of gul'dan are handled to have shadowflame dots stack better (if I'm not mistaken, the current sim just uses HoG on cd) but have been stuck on several points (many of which may only be because I don't know where to look) :
-Is the number of HoG charges stocked somewhere ?
-Is there a way to see the cooldown of the second HoG charge ?
And now on a totally unrelated topic, service should be back on top for demo with the recent grimoire of sacrifice nerf.

Stat weights in the T14H profile show Mastery>Haste>Hit>Crit, but the gear list shows reforging favoring haste.

The raid dummy profiles seem to have some reforging to expertise. Is this supposed to be there or just an error?

I assume that it's reforged to expertise to hit the hit cap without gemming and enchanting.

Expertise is Spell Hit as well as Dodge/Parry reduction.(for those silly DKs, Ret pallies who use spells and need spell hit)
They are probably doing this to get perfect/near perfect caps.
Since they are combined it is def. an option and something min/max will pull off.

So I'm doing some sanity checks between the new raiddummy option in simc(v504-4, sadly) and beta's raid dummies. I got rid of all the useless actions along with pet, talents and trinkets to eliminate all variables and see if the damage of spells match at the most basic level.

Had some problems with higher number of iterations(shadowflame ticks having max hit/crit of twice what was the average for both simc and beta, not that it changed much - around 1dmg/tick on average) so I went with 'debug=log only' to see what's going on, but that "fixed" it, so I just tested everything with that on - should be enough to get a precise average anyway.

actions+=/hand_of_guldan,if=!in_flight&dot.shadowflame.remains<travel_time
Average hit per iteration:
- hand of gul'dan: 6251/14351, ingame damage: 12872/25744
- shadowflame: 3526/7052, ingame damage: 3526/7052

Average hit per iteration:
- doom: 47477/94955, ingame damage: 27068/54135
Note: corruption to keep demonic fury up. Some changes happened to doom in today's build, but I don't think those were this significant - which I can be wrong about, of course.

I'll probably check all the others as soon as new simc release is up - if I didn't horribly miss something.
Edit: Btw, shivarra doesn't seem that good after all - at least as far as you can test pets, when patchwerk-dummies debuff player pets along with themselves - 30% cast time/10% physical damage reduction done.
Edit2: Down: -- to not spam the topic -- which was kinda accounted for, as I've been comparing relative dps of shivarra and observer as that's what was(is, in simc 504-4) out of whack. All the variables should be identical for those pets, along with the "nervous style" of their attacks. Maybe besides the fact, that observer does 60/40 melee/special, and shivarra 28/72, but that won't account for the 7k dps difference that we were seeing and my comment was aimad at. I was even clever enough, to position my pets behind the dummy before sending them in!

Melee pets are buggy on test dummies, running back and forth all the time and thus doing roughly only 60% of the melee attacks they should be doing. For shivarra, that's a good part of it's DPS. Also, they don't automatically get behind the dummy thus if you stay in front, they will get many more misses.

Blizzard has done quite a bit of tuning on the dual wield pets in the various patches over the past few weeks, and since we can't pick up pet scaling coefficients from the spell data, that stuff requires manual testing each time it changes. I've been pretty busy and haven't had time to test them again until now, so the melee damage of the shivarra is definitely way off in the latest release of the sim. (EDIT: The melee swings are nearly twice as strong as they should be.)

Seems that grimoire of service summon doesn't invoke a gcd in the sim, but it does so ingame.

In build 15983 Touch of Chaos is doing 844+79% of SpellPower damage, while Soul Fire damage is raised to 908+85% of SpellPower.
Due to Soul Fire being always a critical hit we can consider the damage at least as 1816+170% of SpellPower; two Touch of Chaos are worth 1668+158% of SpellPower.
The Demonic Fury cost of Soul Fire under Molten Core buff is 80, the same as two Touch of Chaos, so if i do not fail at math Soul Fire should now be always worth casting under Molten Core proc.
As far as I know the most recent simc revision still do not use those new coefficients, so I can't simulate it properly at the moment.
EDIT;
Small addendum to my previous statements, there was some assumptions to do, so I hope to clarify them.
Considering the Warlock_Demonology_T14H profile the raid-buffed value of haste and crit are respectively 24.48% and 19.45%, under those circumstances Soul Fire cast time under Molten Core effect is 1.60 seconds, while its damage is buffed by the crit value, so the final damage result as 2169+203% of SpellPower. Said that I guess cast time should not be enough to lower the DPET of Soul Fire below Touch of Chaos.
EDIT2;
Corrected the cast time I failed to compute properly as suggested by FlyingCow :S

I'm getting a minor dps increase out of the destro profile with:
actions+=/conflagrate,if=buff.backdraft.stack<4 (thus there is a double conflag at the pull)
actions+=/chaos_bolt,if=ember_react&buff.backdraft.stack<3&&target.health.pct>=26 (saving them for 20% burns)
I'd assume that something like buff.ember.stack=3 would result in the same numbers but make it more dynamic towards the duration of the fight.(Not sure if ember.stack is even implemented for the time being)

24.48% of haste will reduce Soul Fire cast time to 1.6 seconds. The formula is: Cast Time = Basic Cast Time / (1 + Haste Value)
