Has anyone mapped out how good the set bonuses of T8 are? Obviously they're good, but HOW good are they? I ask because I have little interest in the actual stats of the gear compared to non-set pieces. There is way too much crit on the Tier gear. Is the ideal setup like 2-piece (pants/chest it looks like) and then non-set? Or 4-set? Or what?

with the changes to make ua and corruption capable of a crit now, is the crit damage meta the one to choose for affliction?

With a 0/13/58 spec, if my raid would like me to use shadowfury for deconstructor, where would I take that point from -- empowered imp, improved soul leech, fire and brimstone or pyroclasm?

Someone did a quick spot analysis of the actual DPS per point contribution for Empowered Imp, Pyroclasm and Fire & Brimstone in the destruction warlock thread (post #789 if you're interested) and their finding was that point-for-point Pyroclasm was the least dps loss if you needed to put a point elsewhere. Again that's just personal dps contributions though. I've yet to see anything about taking 1pt out of the replenish portion of soul leech, but I imagine it would depend heavily on how many replenish specs your raid has.

I would like to know more about the use of DG in the affliction spec (which i'm currently using).
Is the DG to be kept summoned all the time? I mean after 15 mins it spawns off. Then should i use CoD to get another one? or just wait 15 mins with my succy?
thanks

(I post this and it was an infraction, then i serached a lot, but i didn't find anything about this specific question, so i guess it was because of the wrong section.)

Please edit your post to say you like watching Trains. I think you'll have less of a chance of receiving another infraction!
I'll help you with your question, since you sound fairly new in the ways of the Doomguard.
You can only summon the Doomguard every 30 minutes. Just do the quest to get DG (if you don't have it already) so you can summon him at-will. Once he dies, just use whichever pet you prefer, depending on the boss/encounter. At the end of the 30 minute cooldown, you can summon another DG.
(Take note, this means its impossible to have a Doomguard out 100% of the time)

Conflagrate (Immolate/Shadowflame used)
This question may have already been answered.
I am assuming that the DoT of Immolate and Shadowflame may both be applied to a target at the same time. If both DoTs are present on a target and Conflagrate is used, how is it determined which DoT damage is used for calculating Conflagrate's damage? This is also assuming it only uses one DoT source for calculations or will it use both DoT sources to calculate damage?
Conflagrate
Instant cast 10 sec cooldown
Consumes an Immolate or Shadowflame effect on the enemy target to instantly deal damage equal to 15 sec of your Immolate or 8 sec of your Shadowflame.
Conflagarate - Major Glyph
Glyph of Conflagrate
Major Glyph
Classes: Warlock
Requires Level 40
Use: Your Conflagrate spell no longer consumes your Immolate or Shadowflame spell from the target.

I've looked but I can't seem to find an answer to this question.
Basically, when weaving with the 40/31 spec, do you keep immo (along with CoA/Cor) up? It seems to me that you would, but all I can find when looking at weaving posts is the rotation, which doesn't mention immolate (just dot/dot). Thanks.

Curse of Weakness
Now that curse of weakness reduces armor by 5%, I was curious to know if this stacked with other abilities that reduce armor (i.e., faerie fire and sunder armor). I know that curse of elements doesn't stack with boomkins or unholy DKs but I haven't found any commentary on CoW.

If you don't keep immolate up your incinerate will have lower damage and your conflagurate won't work. Depending on how you spec your dots should normally be CoA, corruption and immolate and you should focus on keeping them up always. CoD would be a DPS increase if you cannot get molten core.

Demonic Empowerment
Has anyone had successful results using demonic empowerment in a 41/30 or 40/31 build? I personally feel that 2/3 MC and 1 point in Demonic Empowerment should yield higher dps when your personal cooldowns are coupled with Bloodlust/Heroism. Has anyone done testing with and without Demonic empowerment? Also, is there any theorycrafting that could be done to confirm my hunch?

It does stack with sunder/expose armor, but does not stack with fairie fire.
Another question: Does Improved Soul Leech give the personal mana return on General Vezax?

3 simple questions:
1) Does the 5% crit bonus from Imp Shadowbolt stack with or replace Imp Scorch?
2) Is there a significant damage difference between pets when fully raid buffed? Beyond that of 50 DPS?
3) How much of a difference does Demonic Power make for a Succubus?
Thank you!

Glyph of Corruption & Nightfall
Just wondering if Glyph of Corruption and Nightfall stacked equalling out to 8% chance to proc. If they did stack, I'm just wondering how the extra shadow bolt procs compare to the 2 extra ticks of CoA each rotation. From what I've seen I usually proc 2-3 if not more Nightfalls in 1 min only putting Corruption on 1 target... so thats at least 15k extra damage even if they don't crit...

From what I recall, its an additional 4% chance to proc... it doesnt sum.
Thus its 1-(.96 * .96) = 7.84% proc chance overall (roughly).
And realize that a nightfall proc really just reduces the cast time of your next SBolt by ~1 second (effectively, love that GCD). Its good, but not great.

Well I really only ask this question because Shadow Bolt is by FAR the most damage in any given fight, so to me it makes more sense to mash more shadow bolts than a couple extra ticks of Agony...

The ticks for agony increase the number of SB's thown though! You spend less globals on casting it per fight and these fights are getting longer and longer! That said, you only get 1 global per 2:48 with the Agony Glyph.

For a Demo lock would the Glyph of Metamorphosis be better than the Glyph of Immolate?
If so would the six seconds of the second Immolation Aura be worth the severe mana cost?

I'm assuming that Life Tap doesn't give mana, but will it fizzle or play out normally? (Good to know if I should keep the glyph up or not)

Are there any known non-level-based magic resistances on bosses in Ulduar? I am curious whether COE could be useful here even if there is a Moonkin in the raid. The warlocks of Ensidia seem to constantly use COE and claim to use it even if it only lowers magic resistances.

Life Tap works normally (it just doesn't give mana), so it's always a good idea to use a rank1 for the glyph buff while moving from cloud to cloud. My guess is that the fizzle is just a desperate way of fixing Dark Pact, because it wasn't providing a mana gain per se like the other abilities and thus couldn't be easily prevented from working.

So, does anyone have a suggestion for an addon that would be useful in keeping an eye on your Life tap glyph uptime? At the moment I am using Elkano's buff bars for it, but I'm not completely satisfied with the result so far.
What I've done is that I've made a new group of buffs, and just only white-listed life tap, made it the size I wanted and moved it to somewhere easily noticeable.
Any other/better suggestions?
