Not really "lag"
But yes,
I usually throw COD up as going into position, and to get the imp attacking.
Corr if i'm still moving or what not.
Immolate > CB > Conflag > Incinerate spam > whatevers off cd, and immolate stays up at all times.

COD when it comes off, corr/lifetap while moving to prevent any down time
throw a death coil while moving (instant damage, i only seen ONE other lock do this, smart man), pop a heathstone, whatever.

really not that hard to grasp.

Death Coil is only worth using for on-the-move damage if you don't need to life tap, corruption is on the boss, and you know you won't need its heal at any point in the future.

I pretty much follow the same rotation.
However, I save my Death Coil for use if low on health and to save healer mana.
Otherwise, I think that it is a waste of mana.

Try here.
Numbers are generated through simcraft at 245 level and may vary at lower/higher levels.

Considering that rotation do you cast Life Tap before you enter the battle?
To get the buff before hand?

I do, there's no real reason why you shouldn't.

Remeber to use Rank 1 of life tap in the pre-fight situation, though. Or in any other situation were you don't want to lose health but want to buff up (like Vezax for instance).

I don’t know if this question should go here or be moved to the Glyph Choice post. I was wondering if anyone knew how to get Glyph of Life Tap to show up on DoTimer?

I looked at screen shot from another warlock and noticed that Life Tap is showing up on Buttontimer mod and was wondering if anyone using DoTimer knows how to get that to show up?

Under buttontimers, go into the options menu and place lifetap on one of the bars you're using for buttontimers. In the options, set "Target" to Player, "Type" as Aura, "Timer Type" as Full time, and check the "Use as spell target" box. In the "Other Auras" box, manually enter in "Life Tap". This will let buttontimers monitor the cooldown on the lifetap buff on you, and display it.

Hey guys, if a post violates our rules use the Report button and don't respond to it. If you're not sure about a particular post, re-read our rules. In fact, go back and re-read the rules now whether you're sure you understand them or not. I just nuked half a page of posts here because they are all idiots begging for hand-holding or those well-meaning community members to turn themselves into idiots by helping them.

10 Fire and Brimstone Required Good boost to CB and Incin and gives a higher uptime on Pyroclasm. Note that this only applies if the target has your Immo on.
I'm sure someone will have mentioned this before, in which case I apologise for clogging up the thread, but I'll re-iterate anyway: the bold part is NOT true, and easy as hell to test.

-Group up with another destruction warlock, remove your trinkets and cloak (if you're a tailor).
-Cast Immolate on a training dummy. Cast a few incinerates, get an average value.
-Tell the other warlock to cast Immolate on the dummy. Cast a few incinerates.
-The average value of your Incinerates will be the same.

Obviously, I'm not advocating not casting Immolate ever! Just that it's ok if your immolate drops off the target for a few seconds as long as your Conflagrate is on CD. Especially in situations where you have enough haste on your gear (I'm at 587 without any raid haste buffs like the Shaman totem or the Moonkin Aura) and both Heroism and Backdraft up, Immolate will be GCD capped. In such situations I personally find it preferable to spend Backdraft chrages on Incinerate or Chaos Bolt if it's off CD rather than 'waste' a charge on refreshing Immolate (always based on the premise that Conflagrate is on CD and will remain so for the duration of the Backdraft charges).

Helpful, but is the tooltip wrong or are you abusing a bug?

Given that the tooltip says "Increases the damage done by your Incinerate and Chaos Bolt spells to targets afflicted by your Immolate by 10%, and the critical strike chance of your Conflagrate spell is increased by 25%," it's two sides of the same coin. Either the "bug" is that the tooltip doesn't reflect the intended (and implemented) mechanic, or the tooltip does, but the mechanic is implemented incorrectly.

How many spells did you test this with. When I see the phrase "a few incinerates" I immediately think: "RNG." I'm not trying to throw you under the bus, but a statement like this should be supported with math.
