I've been running OS25 for a long time without ever winning my Valorous Gloves and now that Arch25 is behind Emalon, I'm starting to think I might see an Ulduar upgrade before I see my 7.5 gloves. I do, however, have the Glyph of Lifetap now and the 7.5 chest, legs and shoulders. So my question is should I replace what I have now, the Gloves of Grandeur, with the T7 gloves for the bonus? Or stick to a higher ilevel item?

Your gloves are worth ~38dps more than the Heroes Plagueheart gloves (assuming you use the hit perfectly), but assuming life tap every 20 seconds, you'd get 300*0.2/2 = 30 spell power from the 4T7 bonus. That's worth 1.37*30=41dps. A slight increase, but probably within the margin of error for this approximate math.

Realistically then, you're most likely better off with whatever is easier for you to get the correct overall +hit rating from. It's not likely to make a significant difference either way.

Note that the 300 spirit gives spell power if you have fel armor up. I don't think they have fixed the Demonic Aegis bug yet, but you are looking at more than 41 dps.

After getting some hands on time with the life tap glyph + T7 4p I've noticed that the 300 spirit only gives us inflated spell power via the glyph so long as the spirit buff is up. When it fades we lose that bonus.

Do peoples math behind the 4p bonus take this into effect when calculating its value?

yes. it is known that the life tap sp boost is calculated dynamically.

After hours and hours of reading through many threads at elitistjerks.com and in the official forums I suspect my head to burst soon .

To keep track of the important point I'like to sum up what I've read especially concerning Spirit and the 4t7 bonus and hope somebody will correct or confirm my thoughts:

1.Rank 4 Fel Armor (Fel Armor - Spell - World of Warcraft) provides us among other things with spellpower equal to 30% of our spirit.

2.With 3 point in Demonic Aegis (Demonic Aegis - Spell - World of Warcraft) Fel Armor can be improved to provide us even with 39% (30*1.3) of our Spirit.

3.The Glyph of Life Tap ([Glyph of Life Tap]) provides us with spellpower equal to 20% of our spirit for 20 seconds.

If I'm right this would mean that 100 spirit would give me (assuming that I'm using Life Tap every 20 seconds)

100*(0.39+0.2) = 59 spellpower.

4.The 4t7 bonus (Life Tap Bonus Spirit - Spell - World of Warcraft) gives us an additional amount of 300 spirit for 10 seconds so I'd get

300*(0.39+0.2) = 177 spellpower but only for 10 secs which is approximately the same as 88.5 spellpower for 20 seconds.

All the best

My Thoughts...

I am 4/5 T7 with 2160sp self buffed. When i life tap i get to 2414sp. I'm more of an affliction warlock, and plus i dont have gear for my destro tree.

The World of Warcraft Armory

I fit Life Tap into my Rotation like this:

Haunt > CoA > Corr > UA > sp > sp > sp > haunt(right after i lifetap so i get healed to 100). > sp > UA > sp sp > haunt(lifetap after u cast it) then right before your CoA runs out put it back up. This roation works great for me.

Imo my gear isnt good. but i still manage to come in the top three on boss fights.

What do you all think?

Destro gear is more or less identical so you have plenty for it.

You should Life Tap before you start your rotation ideally, whilst you're getting yourself into position or allowing the tank to build up threat for a few seconds.

Your gear pieces individually are fine, but I've no idea why you've chosen to go for 319 hit. Since you have 3/3 suppression you should be aiming for 289 or 368 depending on whether you want to rely on another class for the last 3%. Also, your gemming is far from optimal. You can afford to put Mighty Spellpower on your staff but you still have a perfect bloodstone in your gloves? I will assume you put that weapon enchant on before 3.1, since there's a staff-only enchant you should be using now.

Hey guys, need some help about t7 4pieces.
today I got [Heroes' Plagueheart Robe] and [Heroes' Plagueheart Gloves]
My question is should I be replacing [Robes of Mutation] with [Heroes' Plagueheart Robe] and [Conqueror's Deathbringer Gloves] with[Heroes' Plagueheart Gloves] to get 4 pieces set(I have shoulders and pants aswell)? Now I'm using incinerate glyph, but then I guess I should replace it with glyph of life tap?
P.S. i dont have head set item. I have deamon aegis talent 3/3.

Just my gut reaction, but I wouldn't drop a T8.5 item for a T7 item, even to get the 4-piece bonus. Nor would I drop the Robes of Mutation for the T7 chest. Instead I'd go try to get myself another piece of T8 to get that incredibly sexy 2-piece bonus.
