The Succubus pet dps is really off, not faulting anyone, but routinely by succubus does 450-550 dps, not 331 (which is what my pet page shows). Not really sure what the issue is going on there. Imo just try pets out in raids and look at it and find out what is better.
Thanks for being the spreadsheet back, I have been going through withdrawals on how to maximize my current gear set while working towards BiSs

It depends alot on how much Haste you already have, but I generally show the same results for Affliction. My typical cast time per spell is around 1.1s meaning I have enough haste to drop my GCD to 1.1 also. Since 1.0s is the cap, haste becomes less important and forcing your DoTs to crit becomes more important. Also my numbers are based on having a Bloodlust active which skews your Haste value a bit also, it adds an additional 129 haste rating that you dont really have. This puts my values at about 1.17s instead and it increases my haste value a little bit, though still less than crit. In every other spec I have set in the spreadsheet, haste is significantly better than crit, I think it is the large amount of time spent casting spells that are instant or equal to GCD when affliction.

I am fairly comfortable with the Felguard and Imp DPS amounts, though my sheet shows we can improve Imps DPS with it's Glyph by quite a bit resulting in it possibly being a better Glyph for affliction than some other options. Of course that depends greatly on what numbers Succy and Felhunter can really provide. The sheet does not model Felhunter and Succy correctly at all and I am guessing the buffs are not being applied correctly. The problem I have is I hve no knowledge of these 2 pets or how they do DPS since I just never use them, so I dont know which buffs to apply to what spells/attacks. Someone has in the past corrected Felguard thru some testing and adjusting to the way it receives melee buffs. wee just need someone to do the same for these other 2 pets. I still am a firm believer that Imp is better for affliction than any other (aside of Doomguard of course). For example, if you say your succy is doing 450 DPS, my imp shows (on the sheet) to do 566 with an additional 112 (approx) from the Glyph of Imp. That is significantly more than your succy. I need to check in game tonight to see if the Imp is really coming close to those numbers, though. By comparison, if we assume Lifetap and Haunt as the best 2 glyphs which is what my sheet suggests, the 3rd best shows to be about 40-50DPS for Agony or 110-120 for imp. I see no reason to run Agony glyph and use succy, when imp seems to be that much better.

DPS spreadsheet
When I equip the new Warlock T8 shoulders from 10-man Ulduar, I have a significant decrease in dps. I am using 3.1.2a spreadsheet. Is there a bug in the spreadsheet calcs for these? Or do the shoulders just suck that bad? I am Aladrian on Hydraxis (US)
PS
I did trying compensating for the loss in hit, but they still looked bad. Even with the 4-piece T8 bonus, it still didnt look all that good.

Ok after checking my recount to compare it to my WWS, I am not convinced that the Imp DPS is right at all. I dont see where the error is really, but I know it is way overstated. Fully raid buffed I am seeing my imp do around 500 DPS without Glyph (which means glyph would add about 100 making it still pretty damn good). The sheet is showing my imp at around 780-800 DPS. I have a WWS I can link if someone says it is OK, but basically it shows the imp's average regular bolt is hitting for about 970 and crits about 16% of the attacks. I think my sheet says about 19-20% crit so that isnt TOO far off, but the damage per bolt is about double around 1800. I think from what I am seeing, the sheet averages in the crit damage and the regular, so I expect it to be showing higher than 970, but not double. The WWS is on a free account so it is only good for 15 days or whatever it is, but it was just posted yesterday. I dont know the rules for this specific thread on posting them, so if Bakka is interested in looking at a comparison to his sheet I will link it.

Are you running excel 2003? I ran into the same issue on 2003 and had to manually enter in my stats. I have not had that issue since upgrading to 2007 (the officially supported excel version). If you choose to run it in 2003 you may want to check the above postings regarding issues with excel 2003. Also verify that you are allowing macros to run within the workbook.

I tested it on 2003, but I was using 3.1e and it worked for your name/server. Possibly something associated with 3.1.2, but I dont have that set up on my work PC right now.

I am very interested in using the warlock's spreedsheets. On the other hand i do not have Micosoft Excel, but Microsoft Works Spreedsheet. I tried to use the spreadsheet in Microsoft works but would not work. Was wondering if there is an alternate version for programs like microsoft works if excel is not available to you or if somebody can point me in the direction of another option. Thank you any help would be appriciated.

Is anyone looking after this sheet since Bakka stepped down?
I'm prepared to pick up the project but obviously not if someone else is lined up. Not sure if I've missed something here. Anyone?

Have you contacted Bakka via his website? He stated up there he would turn over the controls to whomever was willing to take up the project. I'll be willing to help in anyway I can.

I've tried to get in touch but with no luck so far. Have just sent an email to the address on the donate link so hope to hear something from that.
Will let you know.
If nothing happens soon I may just try and pick up anyway but would probably be better all round to get some kind of hand-over.

OK, that bounced so I guess I'm on my own.
I'm on holiday from work but do have to visit relatives so focus may be intermittent for a bit but lets see what we can get under way.
Thoughts off the top of my head:
Gonna need a central place to list issues etc.
- This thread (or the like) on EJ is a key place for comms but I think it needs a home (should I start a new EJ thread?)
- bakkadps.com seems to be out of reach and while is probably on a few bookmarks seems out of date now.
- I'll probably throw up a new forum on my site so people can list and discuss issues (1 thread per topic)
- Being unfamiliar with bugzilla I'm not sure I am seeing all open issues - can anyone help there?
Any other ideas more than welcome, please throw them at me and I'll do what I can.

Right, a forum is in place on the DMZ-Gaming site:
-> Warlock DPS Spreadsheet forum
-> Introductory post
Please feel free to post suggestions, requests, bugs etc there. I've added the bugzilla entries I could find but not validated them as yet. I'm going to spend some time taking a closer look under the hood of the sheet so if anyone feels like confirming or rejecting those ones as a starter that would be a big help.
Once again, your support here would be much appreciated.

Be aware!
I made an error in application of Toth's lookup function.
This mistake will mean that it will keep adding the right-click menu options on load but not clear them out on close. This will result in more being added every time you load the sheet.
Either
- Re-download the 4.00.00 file (fix now applied) or
- Move the sub detailed below from "Module4" to "ThisWorkbook"
Details of the fix can be found on the changelog wiki page
Private Sub Workbook_BeforeClose(Cancel As Boolean)
On Error Resume Next
For Each s In Array("Wowhead", "Thottbot")
Application.CommandBars("Cell").Controls(s & " Lookup").Delete
Next
For Each s In Array("Wowhead", "Thottbot")
Application.CommandBars("Cell").Controls(s & " Lookup").Delete
Next
End Sub

I'm going through the damage mechanics and splitting the calculations down into a seperate sheet. I want to do this so I can more easily update them as mechanics change going forward but also so I can see them more clearly, reuse the base calculations and, quite frankly, learn the spreadsheet better.
Anyway, I was going through the Chaos Bolt damage formula (DPS!B60) and the Fire and Brimstone calculation seems wrong:
*(IF(AND(used_immo,DPS!A26="Immolate"),1+fire_brim*0.03,1))
I think this should be:
*(IF(AND(used_immo,DPS!A26="Immolate"),1+fire_brim*0.02,1))
Anyone able to confirm/refute that?
[edit] Ignore the above, it's an adjustment for 3.2.0, not now.

There is a bug in backdraft mps calculations. If I set ISL talent to 2 then mps of backdraft sequence is increased.
So, we should replace "+" to "-" before "soul_leech*0,1*imp_soul_leech*mana*0,01" in J35 (and other tns tabs).

Now available for download.

The sharp eye'd will have noticed that I've gone back to using the WoW patch-aligned version numbering system. Please consider 4.00.00 to have been 3.1.3a.

I'm not sure anything works properly since I followed the guide and triple checked everything but the spreadsheet says I should be pulling a hearty 1222 dps.
I'd suggest a newer beginners guide as well because I think the one posted no longer matters since apparently this spreadsheet requires more data input and changes to work correctly.

That sounds more like my DPS! :P
Seriously though, thanks for pointing that out. I forgot the IfError name change within it's own function. Have corrected the error and re-uploaded. Anyone who downloaded the 3.1.3b version before I made this post please re-download and many calculations were incorrectly returning zero.
Thanks for letting me know blgdinger.

The Gear_Buffs tab does not load my wrists from armory. [Grasps of Reason]
Optimal DPS says 7514 though. Only fight I can use to compare with this is Steelbreaker which I did 6975 dps so I would probably say this is fairly accurate. However this isn't calculating lag or anything so I think whatever you did REALLY improved things
