Since the sheet's been inactive for a while, I think we're gonna have to pick up the developmental slack as a group. If anyone's got free time, I would appreciate some help updating as much of the info for 3.3 as possible.

So far, I see we've added a list of T10 items and at least some of the set bonus modeled. I'd like to help out by adding new trinket and weapon procs into the sheet, however I'm not entirely sure how I should be modeling some of these.

Based on previous examples, I'm planning to just use average uptimes to calculate proc values (with spellpower stacks assumed to be at full). Feel free to suggest ideas on specific items and how to model them properly though.

I'll post a link to an updated version as soon as I finish. I think with some constructive collaboration this should be accomplished in a timely manner.


Edit: (1/19/2010) I just found that the base damage on the Felhunter's Shadow Bite was averaged incorrectly as it was never changed to include the buff it receives from Shadow Mastery. PetDPS E51 needs to be changed to account for this minor difference (about 20 damage per bite, or 3 dps overall):

=((118+(118*sm*.03))+B57*1.5/3.5)*(1+SUM(DPS!B27:B29)*0.05)


I also think I've figured out how to add the Glyph of Quick Decay into the calculations, but it will take some testing to see if it is functioning correctly. If anyone can link a post with estimated simcraft numbers for the glyph's effect on dps at a certain haste level I can use that as a baseline to check mine against. Right now I feel like numbers get incredibly skewed by the way the spreadsheet uses Everlasting Affliction uptime in the calculation. If I set it to say, 360 (a standard 6 min fight with perfect uptime), then the dps jumps by about 300 compared to the default of setting it to 18 (a single cast). Should the default setting be somewhere in between for realistic modeling or is it fine the way it is?


Almost done with 3.3 fixes otherwise. Working on 4-pc T10 right now.

6) On the DPS and each TNS-* sheet, add a +T10_2*5 element to the SB damage calculation, right after devas*5. You can't do this globally. That's Shadow Bolt covered.

7) On the DPS and each TNS-* sheet, change the Corruption damage calculation so that crit+malediction*3 is changed to crit+malediction*3+T10_2*5. You can't do this globally. And that's corruption covered.
Anyone have an updated sheet with these changes i can upload? I'm having some trouble with steps 4 & 5

for step 4, in excel, click 'find & select' (far right of the 'home' tab), and chose Replace. when the dialog box pops up, click the 'Advanced' button and make sure to set 'Within:' to 'Workbook', set 'Find What:' to '+5*T8_4' and 'Replace With:' to '+5*T8_4+5*T10_2', then click 'Replace All'

For step 6, you need to click 'Toggle Visible Sheets' on the 'Notes' page of the workbook. then go to each of the TNS- sheets, there is one for each stat, and double click on the cell just to the right of where it says 'SB' in the 'Normal Data Calculation' area of each sheet to expose the formula that needs modifying.

not sure about open office but should be similar.

Ya, various other projects have pushed this to one side for far to long and I really can't commit to dev work on it any more. I am more than happy to offer admin assistance if a collective of devs want to pick it up, as well as hosting the wiki and forum stuff.

With that in mind I'm looking at sectioning off a corner of DMZ-Gaming forums for the sheet and putting a up a new portal (front page) for it. That is, assuming there are devs that want to continue the project and they want me to keep the forum/wiki running.
