The exact error message, word for word


There have been a lot of reports of errors cropping up. It's hard finding these and even worse trying to fix them. This is a continuation of someone else's work, Fearsom and I have merely been band-aiding things together to make this work for all of you. So, why continue working on this thing right? When Cataclysm comes around, we'll have to overhaul the whole thing to account for the major stat changes and such. Well that's exactly what we're doing.


As for the other few posts, thank you for the reports of missing items.

I tried loading again while typing this reply, but upon opening I got a warning concerning a 'circular referance' (I did not get this warning when I first talked about the problem), nevertheless I entered my name and such and clicked the load button and I received the same warning as I've said before:



After that I hit the load button again and received a new error:



Everytime I try to load again I keep getting the same error as the last one.

You can avoid this warning (and maybe your other issue) by allowing Excel to make circular calculation.

In the 2007 menu, in "Excel option" you have a "formula" tab and a bock with "Enable iterative calculation".

You have to check it to allow this wonderfull sheet to make its calculation.

If you're getting this it sounds like you have an option set incorrectly. The spreadsheet uses and requires circular references. I believe the default should be 100 calculations. Circular reference is like this... A is used to calculate B, B is used to calculate C, C is use to calculate A...

Is there a way for the spreadsheet to calculate the added value demonic pact buff, when you also have an elemental shaman in the raid?

I understand how the demonic pact tab works, and I know the raid buff is calculated here. However it does not seem to take into account wether there is a totem of wrath up or not (if I include totem of wrath, the added value of demonic pact does not go down). No thos should go down ofcourse, because the added value of your DP should be decreased by the buff totem of wrath gives.

I am wondering about this since we raid 10 mens, and do not have an elemental shamans all the time. I know that without an elemental shaman it is better for raid dps to go demo. The spreadsheet (and simcraft) easily show that. My affliction dps is higher than my personal dps, but my adjusted dps is higher. However I am not so sure when there is an elemental shaman. I have a feeling that in that case my personal dps loss is higher than the added value of DP (when substracting the totem of wrath from its use).

I really enjoy the spreadsheet. It's made gearing up my warlock alt very easy.

One thing I would like to see is all the sources filled out so I know which upgrade i will be getting from each instance, etc.

When using the items tab after loading my character from the armory I receive "#name?" in every field of value and dps difference. I manually changed all the gear, recalculated, and it was displaying correct values. I saved the spreadsheet but after opening it again I am left with "#name?" in the two columns. I am using Excel 2007 and macros are allowed to run. Is there something I am not doing?

Edit: When loading my character from the armory I receive an error for ItemID 51805 and 51572.

I get a similar issue every time I open the spreadsheet. I get the '#NAME?' error in on a lot of the tabs, including Main, Pet DPS, Gear_Buffs, Items. I've found that changing between primary/secondary spec fixes it, then I just change back and it's all good... until I close and open the spreadsheet again. I generally have it on my secondary spec, since that's my warlocks 'main' spec.
Also using Excel 2007 with macros allowed.

First I would like to thanks you a LOT for having taken care of this lovely speardsheet.

Then I play myself as a demo warlock and I see the change on the demonicpact (up from 12sec to 45sec) as a realy good new.
I try to simulate it just by changing the calculation of demonic Uptime (in PetDPS page) from

1-(1-sc_melee_crit)^((12/F33)+(12/F35))

to
1-(1-sc_melee_crit)^((45/F33)+(45/F35))

If you (or somelse) already see a better way to simulate the impact of this change, feel free to correct me.
