I seems to me that deep wounds has been stealth nerfed/"fixed" so that is doesn't benefit from the 40% of precision anymore. I can't prove this, but all the evidence I seen so far seems to indicate that. If this is not an unintentional bug warriors are in for a extremely uphill battle.

Edit: This appears to be not the case, but is still broken as of DEC 2.

I'm trying things out. Couple things I've noticed:

Avalanche crit doesn't proc DW anymore, maybe check for other spell crits also.
7 ticks after critting and refreshing sometimes
8 ticks after critting and refreshing sometimes

Looking over my logs as prot, deep wounds damage is rougly the same for me at around 7%. If there was a nerf, than I think it has to do with some fury mechanic like the 40% auto attack damage.

Just to put in a few things I've noticed since Tuesday.

Charge is still consistently charging to where the target was and not actually to it.

Secondly, and this pertains to Goblin Warriors, there is now an invisible lockout to Heroic Leap when Goblin Jump is used. Seems to be aprox. 15 seconds.

Although these are minor things, its good to have them posted publicly to those who browse.

Pure speculation:
I get the feeling that there is some sort of ICD going on, maybe like .1? Simultaneous attacks seem to cause the most problems. This is a huge hit if it's intended beyond the 5% damage nerf.

There's a blue response in a (one of many) threads made in the offical forums:

In 4.3, we fixed a bug where Deep Wounds was benefiting from the 40% auto attack bonus from Precision. Deep Wounds should only be triggered by crits, not passive damage.

We also found a bug introduced in 4.3 (and reported by several players) that Deep Wounds was not triggered by attacks such as Heroic Leap, Intercept and most importantly, Raging Blow. We are deploying a hotfix to fix that bug.

Deep Wounds should not benefit from spell enchants, such as Avalanche. In general, enchant procs should not have synergistic effects with talents or class mechanics.

From what we have seen so far, Fury’s damage is still where we want it to be in 4.3. We will see how things change as more data comes in. If we think Fury’s damage needs to increase through Deep Wounds or some other mechanic, we will be sure to do so.

I guess they want us tanks. Let's hope something changes until then, otherwise since our guild already has 3 tanks, here's to me getting benched on all the Heroic fights next week.

The simcraft warrior module is clearly not correct due to a lack of a warrior dev, they welcome any input on improving though, both profilewise or mistakes being found in the calculations.

So when I switched the 397 to main hand and sword in other hand reforged slightly I get 25/28 for expertise. Is this okay even though it's not 26? I really don't want to have to reforge more expertise and end up with 26/29.

You shouldn't take the results like they're the word of God. We're better than what sims have as at if for no other reason than Warrior sims are always lacking in what gives Warriors their real juice. We are kind of screwed though. Even Landsoul said we're borked pretty hard now.

Given the nerf to DW and the t13 2-piece, will it be worth it to go back to 2/3 DW and 3/3 Incite for 4.3? Logically it seems that way at least.

Some crude (very crude) math suggests they are roughly even with maybe incite edging out slightly ahead on pure single target fights, but with any aoe or cleave on fights (which most fights in Dragon Soul has) Deep wounds will be better by a decent margin.
