As I understand so far the Flask of Steelskin wad under budgeted as it only gives us, prot warriors, 300 stamina. So untill 4.1 and the change that up the amount of stamina to 450, i raid with Elixir of the Master and either Prismatic Elixir or Elixir of Deep Earth

So the question is, will we change and take the flask of steelskin or stick with the elixirs?

You can't really pin a number to stamina, but 450 stamina is 7.5 gems which is 300 mastery (in gems). The first elixier gives you 225 mastery and the 900 from the second elixier are worth 95 mastery (for my gear) so you trade 7.5 gems worth stamina vs 8 gems worth mastery. I will stick to the elixiercombo but you should maybe take my spreadsheet, calculate the value for yourself und depending on the fight you are progressing on choose the flask-trinket combination for yourself.

20% down rotation

Currently, after 20% I have been just spamming execute. I have seen people either spamming execute, or using the normal rotation with an occasional execute to keep up the 25% buff. According to world of logs, execute on average does more damage for me, and on crits barely under raging blow, should i continue with what i am doing? Much appreciated if anyone can help.

The reason some warriors continue their normal rotation after the 25% haste buff from executioner is because Execute has the lowest Damage per Rage. World of Logs is showing Execute as doing more average damage is likely because you are using 30 rage executes to get and maintain your stacks. If you're running a low hit build and there is no raid damage giving you additional rage, it is very difficult to maintain a 30 rage execute every GCD, and you will notice a decrease in your DPS.

If you are in a fight with lots of excess rage, a 30 rage execute every GCD is likely your best option.

I just recently got 2 372 Lava spines and have been running with HOR and LTS trinkets. I was playing with FOA and reforging and was able to get 2% more crit when i replaced LTS with FOA. My question is should i use FOA over LTS in a heroic setup? Is the uptime of LTS better overall than the on use from FOA? I see that Landsoul is using LTS and HOR as his two trinkets which is why I'm asking on here.

PTR 4.1

* Rallying Cry (new ability) is available from trainers at level 83. It temporarily grants the warrior and all party or raid members within 30 yards 20% of maximum health for 10 seconds. After the effect expires, the health is lost. It has no cost, no stance requirements, and is not on the global cooldown. It has a 3-minute cooldown, but also shares a cooldown with Last Stand.
* Whirlwind now has its cooldown reduced by 6 seconds when it deals damage to 4 or more targets.
* Precision (passive) now increases auto-attack damage by 40%, in addition to the 3% hit it offers currently.
* Unshackled Fury now only grants 2 base points of mastery, down from 8.
Hi There, I hope I made it on the right topic. And Sorry in advance for my poor english.

Anyway, by reading these I was thinking about few things, and I would like to have a deeper opinion of the war fury community.

- Rallying Cry: 20 % of the all raid does it means on the total health buff of the party ? When you use it, Does the party instantly up their HP of 20 % ?
- Precision: It seems to be a great up. What do you think about it ?
- Unshacled Fury will be nerf. What will be the changes to input for keeping up our DPS in Cata ?
- Does the SMF > TG with those modifications or as now a little advantage on SMF ?

Well I've saw two different ways to do a Fury rotation, one in EJ that says: BT-RB-BT(free gcd CS or Slam) and another in MMO-Champion forum saying: CS > BT > RB > SLAM, so I want to know what is the best rotation to do?

If possible, what is the best way to do AoE damage as a Fury Warrior in raid trash and cleave fights?

Those are pretty much saying the same thing but MMO-Champ has it as a priority list and EJ has it as a rotation. EJ's rotation is slightly better though because it sets up CS for the most possible damage during the debuff while its possible in the MMO-Champ llist to have a full gcd wasted during the CS debuff.

The current stat priority puts mastery over any hit above 8%, so assuming one is hit capped, one would expect that reforging extra hit into mastery should yield higher dps gains than reforging extra mastery into hit. However, I'm finding this is not the case when simming my character in the latest simcraft 4.0.6-18. Could this be an issue with the damage modeling? Or is the stat priority not as set in stone as I was led to believe?
For reference, the two profiles are chardev 8 - WoW Cataclysm (mastery) and chardev 8 - WoW Cataclysm (hit)
Using default settings and 10,000 iters, I got:
Mastery heavy: 23355 dps
Hit heavy: 23436 dps
All other stats were kept identical for the purposes of this test, so the only difference was +/- 384 hit/mastery.

Any enlightenment is much appreciated!

Generally, the non-crit secondary stats are viewed to be fairly close, so seeing hit a bit above mastery in some sims isn't entirely impossible. As to the mastery gains specifically, that set up gets a lot of potency out of aligning cooldowns, efficient rage pooling, being sure to fit two CS buffs into a Deathwish, and so forth. Little tricks like that which are comparatively hard to simulate. Likewise, I know that at least until recently, simc hasn't done the best at modeling rage from damage taken, so that also has the potential to overvalue hit slightly. Gaining a bit of extra rage due to damage taken will mean that more of the excess from hit is "wasted" on HS.

Prot question:

I have a couple tanks but I was talking with my friend and he said warriors should stack parry to the point of negating dodge. he has 15% parry right now and 8% dodge.

I was wondering if this was right. I know parry is better because of hold the line but should he stack it that much higher than dodge? and if so how high should he get before diminishing returns kicks in hard?

Raid buffed, the optimal ratio is around 1.5-2% more parry than dodge. 7% more is definitely a waste.

Quick question,

I see that Landsoul went from SMF to Arms. Is arms edging out in damage output/dps compared to Fury now?

If you look he has both a arms spec and a fury spec. This is probably because he switches between specs depending on the fight. For instance because of the high AOE damage required on Heroic Maloriak, he would probably be arms because arms has superior AOE damage but on single target fights he would be fury.

I don't believe that is it. Arms and Fury takes totally different reforging. It is not something you hop in and out of. I would also assume that their guild would have the appropriate AoE required for H. Malo. Maybe you're right though.
