It's Strength Equivalent Points and therefore strength always equals 1.

I've noticed a few people here comparing old specs with new during raids. While it is an interesting comparison doesn't the change in available raid buffs (meaning not being able to stack them ie. might + battle shout) really make for a flaw in our comparisons? Is it more appropriate to compare the new system spec vs another new system spec?

Found an interesting....oddity with Titan's Grip the other day you might find interesting.
I'm somehow able to have an off-hand 1 handed weapon in my main-hand and still have a shield equipped.
Soon as i found this out i had to try off-hand warglaive + bulwark. The warglaive is on "backwards" though. With the crest part if it facing towards my body.
As evidence i give you my armory; Glaive craziness?
Makes tanking fun, hah.

Yeah, i noticed too, you can also dual wield offhands it seems.
doesnt seem very useful though. Very few offhand weapons are worth wearing in the mainhand, especially over a 2H weapon.

Well not that its really applicable anymore as there is only 1-2 days left of TBC but for reference im a T6/SWP geared warrior (only up to Eredar Twins) and after reading the many discussions re: TG vs 2h Arms i thought i would try TG.
My TG dmg completely topped out at 2600 (using [Soul Cleaver][The Blade of Harbingers]) - no matter what i did i could never break this.
However using my 2h Arms spec (using [Shivering Felspine]) i am doing just over 3k.
Im sure at lvl 80 this will drastically change with TG being the spec of ownage but yeah - in my case 2h Arms rules.

Same result here. I see 500-600 dps difference between TG and 2h arms in sunwell at BT + 3 piece SWP gear T6 level. My 2nd 2-hander is slightly worse than yours, being my old banked bloodmoon. I believe the result we are seeing is relevant, in that there isn't any reason to level as TG. Maybe until level 75 when we can get deep wounds with TG.

I've had similar results myself. DPS tops at around 3k as both 2h arms and 1h fury with deep wounds while TG is at least 300-500 behind that. I've also found dual wield arms to be on par with TG DPS wise (post deep wounds fix). I tried dual wield arms with sword/ mace spec and found that I only got the weapon bonus with a 2h weapon equipped, not sure if that's new or not since it's the first time I've tried it. If the weapon specs were to work I'd assume a rather substantial DPS increase and I think dual wield arms would be preferable over 2h with sudden death proccing on hit.

I really do not understand why everyone is finding a "glass ceiling" on TG's around 3K dps. Alot of these people showing these numbers also appear to be in sunwell/BT gear so were not talking kara/T5 where I do believe your not going to see the scaling that TG manages. Personally I'm around the 4Kdps range in nearly full sunwell plate(leather would be better but I don't have it). Does TG scale that fast that your making up 1K+dps in the span of one raid level of gear?
I agree with the people thinking that 2H arms or some varient of it will be the superior leveling spec as the reverse scaling that comes with leveling will hit TG much harder. Personally I'm going to stick with it, but what I would like to see figured out is where this 1K dps gap is coming from?

I checked after nerf both 2h Arms with [Soul Cleaver] and DW Arms with [Rising Tide] + [The Brutalizer] and DW was with 80-110dps better results than 2h regardless on my countless trying on dummy, including several tries with buffs from my other accounts chars.
It is strange result or other players are with similar results?

Daronsk while i have quite a high amount of ArP (26%) in TG setup this came with bare minimum haste. Most SWP Plate comes with stats + haste rating and i believe that is where the true secret to TG DPS lies. While my guild is up to Eredar i have not recieved much +haste gear due to unlucky drops however if you look at Armory profiles of ppl who have cleared SWP (ony 3 bosses ahead of my progression) you will notice alot of +haste on their gear.
I concentrated on stacking ArP as i thought it would reap exponentially greater returns in DPS (and as 2h Arms it probably does) but as far as TG goes i would have to assume on an educated analysis that haste is the best stat, and without it ppl will not be able to maximise TG DPS and therefore explain that 1k difference between starting SWP and finishign SWP.

I think that you are overestimating the value of haste rating, even on sunwell gear levels. Try using landsoul's fury spread sheet which already seems to be pretty accurate on most things. Before the hit and expertise soft cap, haste is the worst of all the DpS stats. After the cap, it comes in before expertise (obviously) and hit, but behind strength, crit and ArP (those three scale with almost all your sources of damage, although the effectiveness of ArP on lvl 70 is subject to dispute).
