How accurate is the paper doll DPS calculator? I'm in a bit of a quandary here as we've had a bit of bad luck on weapon drops.

If I use [Starshatter] (Normal Mode version) and [Gravetouch Greatsword], paper doll dps shows 7100/3800.

If I use [Gara'kal, Fist of the Spiritbinder] (Normal Mode version) and [Dubious Handaxe], paper doll dps shows 7900/5500.

Is there that much of a discrepancy between SMF and TG even when using an Agility mainhand or is the dps the paper doll shows incorrect? I know it's not a snapshot of your actual dps but I would think that calculation would be good for something.

Assuming both STR and same ilvl weapons, SMF is roughly 5k~ DPS better than TG. Using Gara'kal or an agility mainhand and assuming the same ilvl (eg: vs Starshatter), SMF will still sim better than TG by about 2-3k DPS.

Assuming if we were in full BiS gear, what portion of the gear should we upgrade first with the new 5.1 upgrade system to gain the most DPS advantage?

Weapons for raw damage or any other gear for stats?

I have heard of subspecs of the main specs available. Such as people doing Fury but having everything geared towards whirlwind and bladestorm damage. Does anyone know a place to find these subspecs or how to gear for them?

Hey, can anyone who knows the math tell me if it is worth using the heroic Starshatter in pvp?
The PvP weapons got buffed in 5.1 so they deliver 18% Damage increase with the PvP Power.
I dont know if I should equip the t1 pvp wep, starshatter heroic or shin ka with 500str gem? confused

You could take a look at Veev's Warrior PvP Spreadsheet on ArenaJunkies and insert the different weapons for SimCraft.

Weapons followed by whichever items have the most dps stats--chest, legs, helm, trinkets.

Hi there!

How do I import an itemlevel upgrade I haven't gotten yet into simcraft?

I want to know if it's worth swapping my 2xElegion(476) vs Malevolent Gladiator's Greatsword(478) and Starshatter(476).

I know that fury sims better, but the PvP-Weapon in the mh would be of better item level (but just by 2 level) and because i'm human, I would get the exp bonus for both hands.
I expect them to be pretty close (itemlevel 488 over all), but I want to sim it out.
Problem here is, that I will get the conquest points for the second upgrade of the pvp weapon in the next few days (474 atm) and I can't find a way to tell simcraft, that it's already upgraded.

Or am I overthinking it and does the SMF-Bonus just flat out top this marginal upgrade in weapon item level?

Hey, I'm wondering whether I should buy the [Skullrender Medallion] or not. Simcraft says it's not an upgrade over either [Carbonic Carbuncle] or [Relic of Xuen], while the specialists on the US forums say it's basically BiS for TG. Opinions?

Is the on-use effect in your action priority list?
something like "action+=/use_item,name=skullrender_medaillon" as it should be at least better than CC. Especially if you align it with BB/CS, assuming that you do not have another on-use item as well.

It's not better than Relic or Lei Shin HC but on a third place after those for fury. If you sim it don't forget to add "use_off_gcd=1" in the item use line. However it costs valor points so if yoiu buy it you will have one less item upgraded.

Are you sure about the Relic part? Medallion provides more static STR, and it procs crit... anyway, I bought it in place of the LFR Lei Shin's, since a HC kill on Will of the Emperor is probably a couple weeks away anyway.

hey guys!

I have a question concerning my rotation during my Cds.
At the beginning of the fight i use Recklessness, Skull Banner etc.
My Rotation is the following: BT->Cs->RB->BT->?
I usally have 2 stacks of RB now and often i get a BS procc as well.
I'm wondering what to do now.
Do I go on like this: RB->RB->Bt->RB->2xWS->BT or: RB->RB->BT->RB->(force another RB with BR)->BT
or my last option would be: RB->RB->Bt->RB->3xWS->BT

I hope you get my question ^^. I'm just not too sure about the priorities.

As far as I know, you should always start with CS.

Afterwards, always prio BT and RB over WS, so the middle rotation you posted seems fine

So, if RNG every stops being a cruel mistress, I'll have four piece one day. In the mean time though, I'm wondering...are warriors with four piece finding it to be more dps to delay Recklessness 30 seconds to line up with Skull Banner? Or is it better to just pop Reck on the 2.5 minute cooldown?
