Played around with the Arms profile and managed to squeeze out an additional ~1k dps
  • Stormbolt is stronger than Bloodbath by ~300 dps
  • Adding Slam above OP in the priority list to avoid rage capping is a DPS increase
  • Reforged out of some crit and into more haste. Changing to exp/crit gems from str/crit allows reforging additional crit from the chestpiece.

Since all three secondary stats are so close together for arms Cloudbreaker Greatbelt should be better due to one more socket. Also Greatsword of Frozen Hells should be inferior cause of more optimal stats and yellow socket.

That last CS should land before the CS debuff is lost. The additional .174s of latency on abilities in this example make the rotation impossible to sim since there would need to be 0 latency on them for the cast to go off at 9.567. When I've tested on the PTR though, I can fit all the abilities inside the window very reliably(only failing to do so when large 500+ ms lag spikes on the overburdened PTR crop up), so it's definitely viable in the real world.

I'm not sure what an appropriate change to SimCraft's functionality would be to get it to work though. From looking over my combat logs while testing, latency effectively doesn't exist anymore since even abilities with CDs can be queued now and not eat a latency delay. There's still random perturbations in ability usage timestamps as reported by the combat log, but I think that's just a client side issue and the server is actually right on time. I think a combination of lowering default latency across all ability use and increasing the "travel time" of the CS debuff to something like .1-.2s instead of .001s could work out.

The expected delay would be 6.5s with 0 latency, and the actual is an average of 6.52s, or ~0.318%, much lower than the ~2.677% delay in the SimCraft log. Obviously this is just a few samples, but it can be easily tested more if needed. Even though the delays between GCDs appear to vary considerably, I think it's just the timing of the log reports back to the client that causes that issue, since shorter than expected CDs tend to alternate with longer than expected CDs. This suggests that there isn't actually a random delay on the usage that can compound, i.e. there are no examples of many greater than expected or shorter than expected delays in a row.

Greatsword of Frozen Hells is a trash drop, please do not consider this weapon for BiS lists as there is no Heroic version.

I may have another BiS list for Arms, let me run some simulations on it first, I incorrectly submitted it earlier and found out later that it was an SMF gear list.

Regarding the queue lag, I'd be interested to see some more data especially in a 25 man raiding perspective as things might be different there. Any chance of some LFR PTR data?

Will wait for Kaljurei's updated gear list and the combine it with wymrslayers Priority recommendations for a new T15H

Wyrmslayer, I'm unable to simulate your Arms profile, it's giving me a "Simulation Failed" error. Not sure why, could you however specify your simulated DPS using that profile?

Using the below profile I'm getting 167960 DPS. This is incorporating the Slam and Storm Bolt changes that Wyrmslayer has advised, and I've tweaked some reforges around again to get more Haste and less Mastery, trying to reach the optimal Crit-Haste balance.

whirlwind / IV are not behaving correctly (ie hitting harder than they should) in 510-12.

Still interesting to see that exchange wild_strike with whirlwind only costs us 100 dps, but gives us some AoE capabilities.

I'll post my changes to SMF, I was messing around with it the last few weeks posting what I had found on simcraft, (s.alex here) but I thought it was pointless to keep working on the profile until Blizzard stopped tweaking abilities.

It does look like they have stopped changing abilities, so I'll re-compile the latest SVN sometime this weekend and see what I can do.

A few things that I'm going to try, if anyone else wants to try them out first:

1. Prioritizing bloodsurge wild strikes pre-execute over bloodthirsts inside of a colossus smash. (I don't think it'll work out, but worth a try.)

2. Delaying bloodthirst if there are 2 raging blow procs ready. Currently, the model will waste raging blow procs occasionally due to T15 2 piece procs.

Adding on to that, as we are now 100% sure that we can fit in 4 abilities inside of a colossus smash, we need to have bloodthirst be delayed all the time if there are 2 raging blow procs available. Currently, if this scenario happens:
BT-CS-RB-BT-RB-RB

Say you get a RB proc from the first BT and CS as well. Our current model will not delay BT to use that RB. It will simply waste the charge. I think it will be a dps increase to do the following:

BT-CS-RB-RB-BT-RB

3. Somehow optimizing execute so that more rage is saved to use during colossus smash, while not leaving extra rage at the end of the encounter. Here's what I was working with before they nerfed execute:
execute,if=rage>70|debuff.colossus_smash.up|target.time_to_die<10

I think the third part of that expression needs work, but the first two are probably solid. Something like...
(target.time_to_die*11+rage)>(target.time_to_die*20)

The 11 is the amount of rage income per second that we have on average, and the 20 is the amount of rage that we can get rid of per second with execute.

4. Bloodbath, Avatar and Recklessness need to be re-worked with our new 3 minute recklessness. as well as the change to T14 4 piece.

5. Find the optimal usage of 4 piece T15 skull banner. My current best guess is to de-sync recklessness from skull banner, and to always line up recklessness or banner with bloodbath. So, you'd end up with something like this:
1st Bloodbath: Reck
2nd Bloodbath: Skull banner
4th: Reck
5th:Skull banner

It's possible that delaying reck a minute to use it with skull banner during execute could be a dps increase.

I wrote the execute phase / debuff.cs.up separately.
It should decide what to fill in the colossus smash according to CS's duration, 3+2(3 op & 2 ms/slam/etc.) for 6~6.5, and 2+3 for 6.5 or longer. Now it fills 3+2 in since there is a queue delay. Hack CS's duration to 6.7 sec leads this switch to 2+3 and get a dps loss. Try it.

2+3 uses too many slams.

I took a log at some arms logs and there was a ~250 traveltime of the debuff, but this was similar to the travel time of the other attacks.. Now the question is, when does the ability check for the CS debuff, on cast or on hit?
Can you verify that things that were cast during CS but that hit after CS, still benefit from the cs debuff? This would matter a lot.
