Souldrinker's proc is kind of disappointing. Can't crit, isn't modified by enrage, death wish.

Nok'aled does get increased damage from enrage/death wish, and can crit from my understanding, needs confirmation.

My testing showed Souldrinker giving about 8-10 procs per minute(2.3k each give or take). Not sure what Nok'aled's proc rate is.

isn't Bone-Link Fetish any good then since I don't see it in the list while it has some nice str, is the extra procc not good at all?

Well, since the OH in the 1st option is a higher ilvl, I don't see how the 2nd scenario could be a better option.

Well in this case he's referring to the LFR Gurthalak, I'm pretty sure the jury is still out on this one since we don't know for sure yet the proc rate in the off hand as people have reported it proccing in the OH on MH attacks. It's not uncommon for the tentacle to do 12-14% of my damage while in my MH or as arms, if it's even half that in the offhand I'm pretty sure it will out weigh the lost weapon damage and stats.

Actually that is incorrect, i have the Heroic version and it is doing between 3-4% of my dps in most fights. If there is any aoe component it can go to 5%. Not only that but it scales with AP nicely, which means the trinket will only get better as our gear improves.

On a fight like Ultaxion, my last log was 38k on LFR. It did 3.3% of my damage, so 1254 dps. And im barely 390 ilvl with enough 378 pieces to make my attack power relatively low compared to others. Now if you want to compare that to Heroic Creche you can.

Heroic Creche has the same strength component and 655 critical strike rating. Assume crit has 0.70 SEP so it would have a dps value of 1,89 dps per point of crit. So the secondary stats on creche add up to 1237 dps. Keep in mind you can easilly waste a proc on situations which are beyond your control such as running to an ooze on Yorsahj. Furthermore that dps value of that crit will not increase.

I think Bone-Link Fetish will be BiS with EoU, but perhaps i've made some errors in the calculation or the logic.

Actually, if you check the numbers on the spreadsheet, expertise falls behind crit&hit before the cap - It's part of the "rage is much stronger now" syndrom.

The way Bone-link Fetish works pretty much makes it the top trinket on any fight with more than a single target in 10 yards range most of the time. Seeing as it does atleast 3-4% damage (not including the static strenght) I'm quite sure it's going to prove to be the 2nd best in slot trinket, over Creche.

In fights with more than a single target available at times (Yor'Sahj, Spine, Warmaster and even Madness) I'm convinced it's going to be BIS by a fair margin. Ragnaros HC 10 man doesn't really have a lot of multitarget moments and yet the trinket did 9% of my damage on our weekly legendary farm raid. Similar numbers were pulled when DPS the 3 adjacant dummies in Stormwind.

Trinkets like these can pretty much only be implemented in final patches of an expansion tbh as it's absolutely insane on multitarget scenarios.

The more it's talked about it the greater chance more people will do it and the more chance it will get fixed.

As I've been trying SMF again for a couple of weeks now which felt pretty viable I'm wondering if anyone has done proper maths on Souldrinker normal vs Hand of Morchok HC. The weird thing is that the % damage done with the proc doesn't seem to differ very much when I dual wield souldrinkers compared to the times when I only had one (usually somewhere just over 3% of my total damage done).

There's been a lot of discussion going on at different forums but I've never really seen any maths on it.

Edit: Just did some ultraxion testing in LFR and having souldrinker in my offhand only yielded 0.9% proc damage. Could this mean that I'm better off using a souldrinker in the main hand as it will proc a lot more and wear my HC hand of Morchok in the OH?

Also @Landsoul: It's even in the BiS mention which got spread to MMO-champ and some other forums so I doubt the mastery boost is gonna stay as "secret" for long.
