There is also an error in the expertise calculation, the current calculation in the sheet is:
=SUM(P10:P37)+2*3.9*Options!B10
Pulling out the bolded part makes it calculate expertise from the defiance talent properly.

Are you sure? My understanding is that we get 6 expertise from defiance, not 6 expertise rating. Are you going off of current PTR findings?

The sheet assumes double parry on bosses, which seems to be supported by the information I've found floating around, so 5.6% dodge cap, 11.2% parry cap. 10.6% would also be reasonable assuming bosses just have a +5% bonus. Once expertise hits live I'm sure we'll see some more rigorous testing.

Oh, I did not check rating versus value. I have defiance on test, but it doesn't actually reflect the bonus from the talent on the stat sheet, so I am unsure. As I understand it however, expertise is just measured in rating.... 1% expertise means what exactly, 1% dodge/parry removal? Would take some specific testing i suppose to find out which it is for sure.

About the Stamina versus Avoidance discussion, I do not see why it is a topic at all. Unless you are mentally challenged, ebay'ed your first new class or just feel insecure, it should be obvious since you should be knowing your class already.
One must have a certain amount of health for healing to keep up with damage. Healers will try to look for windows between 0% and 100% health to avoid overhealing. The greater amounts of health you have, the bigger the window becomes - making it easier to heal.
When one reaches a certain amount of health it is time to start buffing avoidance stats. Create an imaginary margin for your minimum health and you're on your way. However, as avoidance increases rage gain decreases, so be sure to bring in some strength stats so your threat does not fall behind. This is especially important to have in mind on Void Reaver.
Tier items mostly combine all the aspects of health, avoidance and threat gain. However, some tiers just suck.

This is not at all how Expertise works, it was made clear on the Patch Notes.
Expertise Rating converts to actual Expertise (currently 3.9 to 1 ratio): 1 Expertise is -0.25% to opponents Parry and to their Dodge.
Defiance grants 6 Expertise (not rating) and this grants a -1.5% to both Parry and Dodge for a net 3% chance to Hit.
Items like The Brutalizer grant Expertise Rating e.g. 22 Expertise Rating which converts to 5.64 Expertise.

I'm pretty clueless when it comes to editing spreadsheets. At the risk of an infraction, I was wondering if someone could give a quick bit of instruction on how to change the the values of the gems from the rare quality gems to the epic quality gems.

Your wish is my command?
Uploaded a new version. Gem selections update dynamically now based on your stat weights. Furthermore, you can visit the "Options" sheet to select the gem quality level (normal, rare, or epic).
Feedback appreciated.

I seem to have problems with the latest one:
Many of the items are coming through to the Dressing Room as having ### Defence, Dodge and Parry.
Also on the Gem Level selection there's a rogue drop-down box in Cell B6.
I took the direct link not the Savefile.com version.

Ah, OpenOffice was hiding those ### errors somehow. Uploaded a fix. I also found and eliminated the extra dropdowns.
Thanks!

Minor correction, at 70 Blood pact gives 70 stamina (it gives 66 when you first get it, but scales a bit with level).
I didn't see the new 240 armor to gloves enchant (2.3 addition).

Tiny bug relating to Elixir of Major Fort.
Fitting Room!
Cell C62 returns a value even if A62 is set to "No"
It's an "inconsistant formula" error which is corrected by copying the formula from the cell above.

Very strange, that should have been a straight fill-down but it was getting AEP from flask of fortification's defense. Thanks for the report!
Uploaded a new version
-added offensive miss rate for trash, to help build a heroic/10 man threat set.
-changed mob parry rate to 5% base + 5% bonus + level bonus (for boss), this needs testing but it feels to me like trash mobs parry at 10% too.
-fixed a bug with racial stamina not getting pulled correctly
-fixed AEP calculation for elixir of fortitude
-added sources for wrist enchants (Enchanter)

First time poster long time reader...
This is a great speadsheet you got here Taliafears,
I just have a question. For The Enchant Chest - Exceptional Health item. I don't see the added health in Unbuffed or Buff tables.
Not sure if there is something I'm doing wrong or the enchant is not being added to the Health points. And, is there a way to know the buffed Shield Block Value?

Thanks for the compliment and the report! I've just fixed the chest enchant for the next release (not yet uploaded). I'm still fiddling with AEP for +armor and +health buffs (since they are not improved by vitality and toughness, and I calculated all my stat weights assuming both talents maxed, they should not be worth as much as stam or armor-from-items). Also cleaning up the AEP a little for racial bonuses.
Can anyone tell me if +armor enchants are improved by toughness? I know bears don't get their uber-multiplier on things like +120 armor to cloak, so it makes me wonder.
To answer your question about Block Value, all the values in the "Unbuffed Totals" row are intended to reflect what your character sheet would show, so they are post-talents. So the Block Value there is accurate after taking strength and talent into account; it's NOT just the sum of the stuff above it.

New version uploaded.
-added AEP for various racial abilities
-added hit rating for draenei to account for their aura
-fixed bug where orcs were incorrectly getting defense rating from race
-made battle shout actually do something when you turn it on
-improved unleashed rage AP calculation (still needs work)
-added chain-gulping of Ironshield Potions to buff possibilities
-reduced AEP for +health and +armor enchants and buffs, since they do not benefit from toughness/vitality
-fixed problem with Enchant Chest - Exceptional Health not adding its bonus in the fitting room
