Fury DPS Spreadsheet for 3.0 - Page 13

Okay, so after months of forcing guildies and gathering pugs to go back to Gruul's Lair. I finally get Dragonspine Trophy to drop! I have the Shard of Contempt and Berserkers Call which is what i was using. I was wondering if the Dragonspine Trophy is still the best trinket for Fury Warriors, and if so, what trinket should I use with it? We are currently 4/5 MH 4/9 BT, so the Madness of the Betrayer will be up for grabs soon as well. Assuming these are four best fury warrior trinkets in game. how would u guys rate them?

Like most gear choices it depends on your current gear, and the answer can usually be found by using the spreadsheet. Dragonspine and shard will be your top 2, but generally you should be using one of those with solarians instead.

I don't get what your problem is, are you complaining that he's doing too much damage? If he's already able to handle the threat, why just not trust him to do that in the future as well? If he needs Salvation blessing, fine, just make sure he has one. The extra dps from him will help you progress. Your tanks will hopefully also get better gear. And your raid need to use threatmeters, if he can't pay attention to that I don't think anyone here can help you.

Shard and Dragonspine are still the best. With Madness then Zerkers call trailing.

Also with the newest release PPM uptimes are a little lower than before due to the change, so expect Dragonstrike to start getting outclassed by certain BT weapons.

Hm, I believe so. All my gear comes from badges as I don't raid outside of a random Kara here and there.
I may be wrong but they seemed like the best badge gloves and on Gruul/Mag level.

What change are you referring too exactly? Blizzard changed something or you missed something causing alot of people to probably craft dragonstrike instead of waiting for the badge wep?

Blizzard never changed anything. Originally the sheet had haste rating increasing the frequency of PPM effects which made certain items, particularly Dragonstrike and Dragonspine Trophy increase their own rate at which they proc. Multitudes of tests and arguments over the last month or so ago made me realize that haste and flurry did not increase the proc chance of PPM abilities. A version or two ago I coded into the proc chances a ratio that would cause PPM to not increase while under the effects of haste and flurry.

Unfortunately, this was after the discussions of how the Dragonstrike proc scaled so well with other gear stats that it outperformed s3 MH just by a little bit. While Dragonstrike is still a good item, I don't think it's as good to make it better than weapons out of its league. Sorry =(...

If anyone crafted a Dragonstrike after reading this post under the assumption it's better, please realize that minor tweaks were still being made to complete the accuracy of the sheet. And please read the entirety of the posts and see what everyone has to say before making such a decision.

Hmm, yeah I was using FuryDPS1.205.ods, then after the link got fixed I grabbed FuryDPS1.300a.ods, noticed my dragonstrike went down quite a bit dps and came here to see if anyone else noticed and what was up. But... not all hope is lost, if i'm using the mainhand expertise feature in the spreadsheet correctly, being human, it's still better than the badge fist, which makes me pretty happy in the pants. I did pass on another blade of infamy for my mainhand just last week though (got one in off-hand atm) and it shows as being better then dragonstrike for me with my current gear setup, so I guess if another infamy drops i'll have to put dragonstrike to rest finally.

Mainhand weapon, Rage is not shown as socketed in the last two versions. Fortunately, in this latest version gems put into sockets do count towards overall DPS. I had to update to this last version because the old one didn't even count the gem when "sockets: none".

Oh, really? Sorry I missed that.. But, yeah thats just a prompt display thing you can put gems into items that dont have sockets if yuo really wanted.

So i just picked up felfury legplates off brutallus and replaced them with the archi legs, and i know in general its a rather large upgrade, but im curious about dps numbers between felfury and divine retribution legs off bloodboil. anyone got numbers?

But come on, how lazy can you get?

Just download the sheet and find out yourself. Noone can tell you how much of a dps increase it is if they don't have
a) information on all the gear you're wearing
b) information on all the buffs you're getting
c) 20 minutes to spare to find out something that is a lot easier for you to do yourself

When using the spreadsheet I saw something odd. If I understand correctly the number on the right where you can select certain gear and pieces is your potential dps output, however if I swap an item, and then swap it back again to its original, it doesnt display the same numbers prior to the back and forth swapping. Am I using the spreadsheet wrongly?

I did try to look for a post containing the same stuff but have been unable to find em, forgive me if by any chance ive overlooked it...

Hello fellow brothers, it's the my first time here, and i m writing beacuse i realy do not know what weapons i should use

i actualy have the dragonstrike, the rod of the sun king, the new fast fist offhand and enougth badge to buy another badge weapon...

i usualy used dragonstrike mainhand and rod ofhand, but had problem with rageflow... so i swichet rod main hand and vanir offhand, but i did not have the dps i expected... actualy i suspect a little drop....l what should i use?

my stats ( without weapons ) are crit 24%, ap 1831, hit 201, armor penetration 392, and i usually am in group with an ena shammy and hunter/druid.

Well, why dont you download the spreadsheet and try filling in the weapons there? Thats probably what others would say as well seems to me your a bit lazy not downloading it and trying it first.

Anyway, if you manage to clear SSC and thus most likely your ready for BT MH, then I expect that your rage flow problem is not a gear issue but a player issue. What I am suspecting is that you are using heroic strike more then you can afford to, this is a rather common mistake a lot of fury warriors do. When you start the fight you can take it easy, let the tank get a few seconds of aggro whilst you get battleshout and rampage up, then start your BT/WW cycle. Do not even touch heroic strike underneath 60 rage unless your expecting a big rage income.

I have been putting together a DW fury gear set from SWP. Picking the best plate options stats look very impressive in the end.

One issue though is the extreme scarcity of hit rating on SWP gear. Assuming the Teron cloak and Illidan ring it seems I can only manage 125 hit rating total. Considering we won't be killing Illidan that much more often and that Teron never dropped his cloak for us so far (and lots of people lined up for it), I might not have either one, so will most likely lack 40-50 hit rating to get to a comfortable 130-140 hit rating (which I've been raiding with for quite a while now). Regarding trinkets, MotB is not an option as I have to wear Solarians (guild's only drop) and SoC is much superior as the second trinket.

How do you cope or plan to cope with that lack of hit rating? Does anyone actually run with the bare minimum of 95?

Read the instructions before using the spreadsheet, you have to press ctrl-shift-y a couple of times every time you change something. If you want to keep posting in the EJ forums I suggest you start looking through threads before asking questions that have been asked a million times before

with rage flow problem, i mean having rage in blocks too large to work properly with them, the dragonstrike and the rod have the same speed, and this cause some problem to me.... i m still working at the sheet btw
