problem: download excel2007+ sheet
symptom: when i click on this download i just got an .zip-file where some .xlm-files and folders are in it... just me have this problem? link to the excel97 is correct

The initial gear setup for the Arms tab is Landsoul's PvP gear. Accordingly, no raid buffs are selected, so you need to go through and enable each and every one.

Also with respect to Arms, I noticed that using Shadowmourne pushes the SEP for Crit above that of other weapons. I compared it with Shadow's Edge and Oathbinder (Heroic) at my current gear level (mostly 264). Near-BiS gear provides similar discrepancies.

[Shadowmourne]	0.82

The increase in Crit SEP pushes Heroic WFS above Heroic DV when using Shadowmourne (by 10-15 dps). I just wanted to confirm this is due to the AP gain due to the weapon/stacking buff, and not due to some bug where Crit rating is being applied to the Shadowmourne AoE effect.

Same here, I just changed the extension to .xlsm and it worked.

Error Type: calculations for ArPen proc trinkets

I am hesitant to post as I am not an expert, but some ArPen calculations look wrong to me. Maybe I just don't understand, but here it goes:

The ArPen proc trinkets in the Lookup sheet score very low (or nothing) for their ArPen proc. The "very low" score comes from the "relative" comparison mode in case the trinket is actually equipped. It seems that the formula takes the current ArPen rating already with the trinket proc added, so there is very little space below the cap and only this fraction is used to calculate the proc value. So the proc is double counted with respect to the cap.

The zero score, in turn, happens in the "true" comparison mode. This mode uses the ArPen SEP from "Overcap SEP calculator", which is zero. So the result is always zero - this case is really puzzling to me.

Also, the formula ignores the "use ArPen adjustment" flag.

I think there is something wrong with the Arms tab, because I had the same thing happen going from the old spreadsheet to the new on. Make sure all the raid buffs are enabled, I noticed they weren't on the new spreadsheet's Arms tab, but even still, I know I can do more than the 5k dps it has listed for my Arms gear/spec.

I don't know what the problem is, because I don't understand the deeper workings of the spreadsheet, but something is definitely amiss.

Also be careful to check the level, armor and resilience of the target (ie: should be lvl Boss, 10643 armor and 0 resi for pve).

Downloading either version of the spreadsheet through Landsoul's provided link crashes my Excel 2007 when trying to open it. When I let Excel try to recover the data I get the response that it has a circular reference and I end up with only a partial spreadsheet that's missing all the items. The German version provided by Samot, however, works perfectly. Is anyone else having this issue or have any suggestions?

Try to update your Office to the latest Service Pack. I had no problems with the spreadsheet.

In the spreadsheet, the Shadowmourne damage proc is using spell crit chance.

Shadowmourne (DMG) is calculated in cell AJ303 as:
=(1900+2100)/2*D77*(1-F58)*(1+(0.5+AG317*AJ317*1.5)*F59)

Cell F59 is spell crit chance. As Arms, I have literally never seen a crit on the proc. Accordingly, both DPS and the SEP of Crit are slightly higher than they should be if you have Shadowmourne.
