A better way to do this is to use the options on the far left of the Lookup sheet. Turn on "Use Exp Adjustment," then use "Adjust Expertise to:" and set the value to your most valuable stat's SEP.

|
The two pages are not developed to reflect each other they use independant calculations to estimate the dps a set of gear might produce and more importantly how your dps would change if you altered that set. They are not intended to be compared side by side but rather to help you make choices regarding upgrades, enchants and gems.
As far as which is better... you shouldn't need a sheet to tell you.

For anyone else in the same situation, I found that manually entering a negative exp value of say -51 (the amount I am looking to replace from gems) in the manual adjustments section of the spreadsheet, allows the lookup tables to sort items with expertise in a way that correctly indicates their usefulness to me.

A better way to do this would be to use the Exp adjustment on the Lookup page and adjust Exp to 1. This would represent you dropping the Exp gems for Str gems.

Text for "Fetch Armory" button isn't over button
Page: Fury, Arms
Type: Format
The text "Fetch Armory" is not over the green button as it should be, instead its below it on top of the prismatic slot for the belts.

Changing Talents is Annoying
Page: Fury, Arms
Type: Concept/Format
Currently if I click on a talent it selects the picture which doesn't allow me to change its value, instead I must click the cell beside the picture and navigate over with the arrow keys, then it highlights the cell and provides the drop down list.
A fix, while exceedingly tedious is to macro each picture with something like this (which is form "Imp. Cleave" on Arms):
Sub Picture88_Click()
Range("AL7").Select
End Sub
Another, possibility is to reformat things so that the picture wasn't the entire width of the cell, but that the value was to the left (or right) of the image so that clicking on it would select the cell.
(This is probably very low priority, and mostly just an annoyance, not bug.)

Do a quick search through the arms dps discussion thread for posts about expertise.
I don't know the exact figures, as I've not been arms for a while now, but the SEP for expertise is indeed low for arms spec, due to the bonus gained (overpower lights up) if your attack is dodged.

Read the comment on the Guise of the Midgard Serpent in the Lookup tab. It's actually a sort of complex issue having to do with Blizzard putting too much bonus on the socket but not being able to change socket bonuses after the fact. I think there's a write up about it in the Item Level Calculation thread.
Short answer, the +16 AP missing from the socket bonus is rolled into the main AP on the item. It's in the comment in the Lookup tab.

First: I use german excel.
Well, i put comma instead of dots into the fury sheet and formatted cells C102 and C104 manually, but i still get all the #div/0 in the sheet...
Is there anything i do wrong? How can i fix the fury sheet?

Quick query re: ArP Nerf in 3.2.2
I read a few pages back that to get the ArP value changed in anticipation of the ArP nerf we had to manually change the ArP coefficient in cell E86 from 1.25 to 1.1
Is this still true?

Uh... look in the cell on whatever sheet you have, and see if it has /1.1 or /1.25?

Yeah it has 1.25 as default I just wanted to know if by changing it to 1.1 it was still the correct way to get 3.2.2 ArP changes?

As a spanish user im still having the same issue aswell, in arms and fury sheets. Is there any way to help you to know whats causing the error? i guess you cant fix it if your spreadsheet works.

Yes, it remains the same to see the armor pen changes in 3.2.2, basically the "/1.25" was to reflect the changes in patch 3.1 to make armor pen 25% more efficient. Now, with the nerf, they said they were effectively buffing it from the original value by 10%, so the "/1.25" becomes "/1.1" to make it 10% more efficient than the original figure.

I recently have a chance to buy the Relentless Gladiator's GreatSword for my fury MH. But when I played around in the spreadsheet it said that the Edge of Agony (drops of 10 man twins) is better. Is this right? I thought the dps on the relentless would trump the lack of stats vs the Edge of Agony

To the people with localization issues: make sure it's a fresh copy you're modifying. Once the spreadsheet gets a #DIV error, it breaks in a lot of different places. So download it again (and this time save the original copy) and go enter 0,1 in the fields C102 and C104 before you enter or change anything else. It works fine for me in both versions.

[Edge of Agony] got 183 attack power, 112 agility (~2.40% unbuffed crit), 86 arpen rating (6.98%), 62 haste rating (1.89%) and 1 socket, while [Relentless Gladiator's Greatsword] got 271 attack power, 90 crit rating (1.96% crit) and 23 more DPS. Put a strength gem in the socket (44 attack power) and it sums up to 0.44% crit, 6.98% ArPen and 1.89% haste versus 44 attack power and 23 more DPS.

Is it possible to have Rend vs MS table? I found out that planty of times MS finish cooldown while rend have <0.5 duration left - at which point i don't know if i should MS, or wait and refresh rend. normaly i just use MS, but the lower the time left on rend the harder the choice is, and i am preaty sure its possible to nail the breakdown point using the spreadsheet.

I'm still having issues with the spreadsheet when trying to calculate SEP values, wow armory import works, the formulas are modified according to the intro sheet of the spreadsheet, excel was fresh installed, etc, all the criteria needed for the spreadsheet to work was fulfilled but still I'm getting the #VALOR! error when calculating SEP.
Everything else works just fine, only that is failing, any ideas about how to solve it?
Also I'm from Argentina (South America), but I don't think it would be a localization issue since I'm not getting the /DIV! error just the #VALOR! :S
Any help would be really appreciated!
Thanks a lot to all!

Troubleshooting Help
Hey all,
Sorry but I need some help troubleshooting the new spreadsheet. I've been a huge fan of this tool for months now, but I just installed Excel 07 and the new program won't run very well for me.
Error message - When I try to get my profile from Armory, I get the following message: Microsoft Visual Basic Run-time Error 91. Object Variable or With Block Variable not set.
DPS Metric- is stuck to Landsoul's numbers, even after manually inputting all my gear/gems.
I think this program is invaluable, and I'd like to keep using it so any help at all would really be appreciated.
thanks very much!
