[Horde][Dentarg] <Bad Omen> 25 man raiding - 7/13HC, world rank 41

*Updated 18th Jan*

Lf:
1x Shadow Priest
1x Holy Paladin
1x Death Knight (DPS)

Bad Omen - EU-Dentarg is around since WoW went live in Europe. Since then we have established us as one of the better guilds in Europe, constantly being ranked somewhere around the top 50 worldwide including a few top 10 kills in TBC, without running crazy raiding times.
Our average age is around 25, people have jobs etc. You won't find us raiding before 7 pm or much after midnight. That means if you are looking for a top 10 guild, you'll have to keep looking as I don't think that's realistic for anyone on our schedule.

But if you are looking for an absolutely stable guild that clears all content while it's challenging and before the big nurfs come in, then keep reading.

First of all a heads up:
If you have not cleared a good amount of Cataclysm's raiding content at this point, you are most likely wrong here.
Good pre-Cata experience like Arthas heroic, ToGC25 Insanity (before you were fully decked in ICC gear), Yogg0, Kil'Jaeden before 3.0, Hyjal and BT cleared a few months after they got enabled always helps as well.

But if none of that is true, you are most likely wasting your time, sorry.

We are also not recruiting for the bench. Our goal is to have about 32-33 active raiders who are evenly sharing raid spots.

Raiding Times
Our raids generally go from 7 pm to midnight server time. We never start earlier then that and we very, very rarely (maybe once in wotlk) extend a raid past midnight.
During progress we raid five days per week, with Friday and Saturday being raid-free. During Farming it's usually Wednesday, Thursday, Monday but obviously if possible it's cut down to one or two days as soon as manageable.

Our Guild

Bad Omen was created during the first days of vanilla WoW on the EU server Warsong. We migrated to Neptulon and from there to Dentarg. While there was obviously some fluctuation, the same raid leaders are running the guild since Naxxramas on level 60. With a light raiding schedule in contrast to other top guilds, we have been constantly doing reasonably well and cleared all content before any major nerfs. We are as stable as it gets. There were no raiding breaks or merges since vanilla, we kept going and we don't plan on stopping in the near future.

We are currently killing 1-2 heroic modes per week in tier 11 content, so I won't list our progress here as it changes too much. Although I got the suspsicion it will slow down soonish. Anyway, for up to date Cataclsym progress check wowprogress or our front page (usually wowprogress is the faster of the two).

Our progress in past expansions:

Top 30 EU Naxxramas clear on lvl 60 (back then the progress was tracked in the official wow raiding forum and thus was EU wise, I guess chances are that was top 60 in the world, everything else is always in the world and not something like european english speaking horde or whatever)

Top 10 on Al'ar (the original version), Lady Vashj and Kael'Thas
Top 10 on Illidan
Top 30 throughout Sunwell including M'uru and Kil'jaeden

Wotlk-Progress
Top 50-100 on most Ulduar hard modes, including:
Firefighter defeated as one of less then 50 guilds before the massive nerf
Top 70 on Alone in the Darkness
Trial of the Grand Crusader cleared world 30th
Tribute to Insanity a few too many weeks later
Tribute to Immortality multiple times
LK10 heroic with 10%, 52nd
LK25 heroic with 15%, 55th

What we expect from applicants

We are raiding five days per week on progress, Friday and Saturday being the off-days. Our raids start at 7 pm server time (central european) and end around 11-12 pm. If you cannot keep up with that for a couple of weeks when new content is released, do not bother applying. Obviously no one expects 100% attendance when we raid five days per week over an extended period, but at least 80% is exepected, anything less won't work.

The same applies to taking large, unannounced breaks. We are getting quite a few applications that include 'Gee, I took a three month summer break and when I came back, I was unguilded, I wonder why'. If that applies to you, just stop reading here. Best of luck elsewhere.

Having the correct raiding professions, pots and farming certain special gear (resistance, block gear for anub off tanking and whatever Blizzard might come up in the future) is obviously another requirement.

To sum it up, we expect a high level of dedication from everyone in the guild. We won't be raiding at crazy times, but when we raid, we expect people to be prepared and know what they are doing. Standing in void zones only gets everyone else frustrated and we are doing his as our hobby, for fun. People that turn that fun into misery won't be around for long.

Constant complaining/whining is another thing no one wants to hear, especially about the good old topics of benching and loot. We are aiming to have a pool of 32-34 raiders. That means in case everyone shows up, some will have to sit out. If you look for a 25 player guild with everyone guaranteeing 100% attendance, you are looking in the wrong place. Our average age is 25, lots of people work etc and stuff comes up. However we do NOT recruit for the bench. Raid slots are rotated evenly between all people we find good enough, which means passing the trial. During the trial time you will obviously raid a lot as otherwise we can hardly evaluate your performance. Once you passed the trial, you have the same right to raid as everyone else in the guild, no matter how long they have been around.

About Dentarg and PvP
Dentarg is a medium/low populated english speaking realm. You won't have any sputnik in trade chat. The horde population is pretty decent, alliance quite low.

We have few arena enthusiasts in the guild. It's by no means many, but if you are crazy about arena outside of raid times, you should fine a team.

There is no application form provided, the idea is that you tell us what you think is important about you and your raiding past. A weblog (WoL, WWS, etc) of a Cataclsym raid is very helpful and if your progress isn't close to ours or your previous pve experience is outstanding (as in top 100 kills on arthas, yogg0, KJ etc), applying without a log is pretty much pointless.

If you are still interested after reading all of this, apply through our website. If you have any questions, feel free to ask Arlena or Elunora in game or by forum private msg (in that case 'kai' instead of arlena).
