About Us:

The Symbol is a long established international Alliance Guild on Grim Batol EU (pvp), with almost 3 years of existence; with a good amount of old school players. The Symbol is a great social guild with a relaxed environment always aiming for high end game content. Average age is around 24, with a lot of mature and good players and all focused on progress. The Symbol main goal is always to be in TOP 5 of server while making it an enjoyable experience for most.

Even if our ranks are full,truly exceptional players of any class are always considered and encouraged to apply. But please take a moment to consider what truly exceptional actually means before doing this.


What are we looking for?

The ability to communicate in proper English. We understand there are many players who do not have English as their first language, and we do not require you to be able to communicate in perfect grammar and spelling.

You play a class, not a spec. This doesn't mean you will be asked to respecc constantly - but it means you will respec for the good of the raid if it's needed, and that you try to keep gear sets for your off-specs, as well as a working knowledge of how to play them. This is especially important if you play a hybrid.

You are self-motivated and understand the importance of being prepared. You come to raids with the requisite consumables, you work on gearing up your character outside raiding as well as your schedule permits, and you read up on encounters (including trash mobs) beforehand. You are expected to participate in post-raid analysis, as well always striving to improve as a player.

A mature attitude. We are a guild of grown-ups. If you are a young person (say below the age of 20), it does not mean you cannot join, it just means you will have a bit of extra work cut out to convince us that you have the required maturity.

Reliability and loyalty. It is extremely important when we begin raiding, that you are able to post when you are not available to raid, as well beforehand as possible. Respect your fellow guild members and the time they put into game, and do not leaving them hanging with no warning. We do expect you to keep a pretty constant attendance and to warn your officers when you cannot show up if possible.

A good knowledge of your class and game mechanics in general. You have to know your class extremely well - either through years of experience, dedicated research or just being an intelligent individual in general. We are not going to teach you how to play your class. We also expect you to have a good knowledge of other classes, as we believe this makes for better players.

We do not want drama queens, loot focused ppl, nor people who are verbally abusive or have anger management issues. We always had a good environment within the guild and we intend to keep it that way,people that lack consideration for others ending up by ruining this environment will simply be left out of the guild,nothing personal.

If you have experience as an officer, class leader or raid leader, that's a big plus in our book. Being in charge requires being aware of the interplay between classes, knowledge’s of the core roles: tanks, healing and dps, as well as having an eye of strategy. All these things make a better player even when not leading.

You must be a teamplayer.This is what PVE is all about as any other group hobby.If the guild needs some kind of material you will help farming it.If the guild plans to invade Horde cities you are meant to participate in them.Since this is a PVP server you are meant also to help guild mates in pvp matters instead of running away.
We are not looking for a guild full of bots that farm PVE non-stop.We want a guild full of people that share somehow the same game spirit.

The ability to handle big amounts of alcohol at guild meetings without falling asleep in the middle of the night.
