Who are we?

Avarice is currently the leading guild on Azuremyst-EU server. Our goals are to complete all content to keep ourselves at the forefront of raiding on this server, we strive for clean & quick farming runs along with focused progression raiding. Along side raiding we are a very friendly guild who like to indulge ourselves in much banter and crazy times in guild chat and on vent.

The reason we enjoy playing this game is simple: The feeling of finally breaking through the brick-wall, that we smashed our head against for hours, days, or even (god help us) weeks. - Having achieved something with 24 other friends, nerd-screams, the fun.

Who are we looking for?

With recruiting we have 2 sections, the first is what we expect a recruit to have the second is what we would like a recruit to have. Of course we understand that some people have started playing World Of Warcraft with the release of Wrath of the Lich King, or re-rolled to a new character and/or similar - so a link to your previous characters would be appreciated.

* Fluent in English, Written & Spoken
* The desire to raid 10 & 25 man content, including Hard Modes and enjoy it!
* Know your class to a degree that you are prepared for raiding at a high level
* Highly active, we like players who don't just log on for raids but interact with the guild
* Able to learn and adapt to new encounters without giving up
* Take criticism and advice from fellow guild members
* 100% Focus throughout the entire raid
* Use of Ventrilo - We use ventrilo every raid, having a mic is very useful (almost a must) also.

Above is what we would expect you to be able to say "yes" to, below are things which we would like you to have

* Raiding Experience - The more current the better, but Pre-TBC Experience goes along way also
* 10/25 Man Gear, correctly gemmed & enchanted
* Exalted Hodir Reputation
* Useful Professions for Raiding
* Flasks, Pots, and other consumables in masses. - We use flasks, pots and food in every raid.

Ultimately what shows us that we should give yourself a shot is your application, a well written application and not so great experience/gear goes much further than a short and brief application with fantastic gear and experience.

* These days we raid only when there is still progress to be made, 10 Man raiding is generally done on Friday and Saturday but also before and after 25 man raiding.

* A singing robot. - No really. We mean it! - We have a singing robot!
* PvP - We have many members currently doing Arena & BG's
* Multiple 10 man runs.



A final thought

If you find yourself agreeing to a lot of the above then there's a good chance we want to hear from you. Being in a guild is ultimately about getting the most out of the game and enjoying it. This is something we strive to do in Avarice, but that doesn't mean we accept anyone in as we always look for the best recruits but we will always give people a chance to show they have what it takes.

Anyone may apply and we give each application the same treatment but we look for exceptional initiative, learning ability and grasping tactics quickly. We are not adverse to taking on board people with lesser quality gear but it would be a good idea to make a profile on (chardev.org v6 ~ a World of Warcraft character planner) with what you consider the best items for your class & spec to show us how you envision your character.
