[Alliance][Silvermoon] <Nevermore> | 10-Man HM Focused - Wed/Thu - Recruiting
Do you hunger for progress? Do you enjoy raiding in a well-oiled machine with people who give their best? Then Nevermore might be something for you. Now and then we need to replace someone among our ranks, and on this page you can see which classes we are recruiting and send us your application. Even if we aren't recruiting all applicants are welcome for later consideration.
1 x Protection Paladin (Consider a Feral Druid)
1 x Shadow Priest
1 x Hunter
1 x Resoration Shaman
1 x Balance Druid
Mission Statement:
To create an Elite Raiding Guild focusing on 10-Player raid content.
To be the most progressed 10-Player Guild which raids on two evenings per week.
To recruit players who take pride in being a part of what we will Achieve together, who are thirsty for success in spite of a limited raiding schedule and raid format.
To have a positive impact on the World of Warcraft Community through our actions.
Before you make your application I advise you follow these simple instructions. Read the following points and decide "Is Nevermore for you?" Unless you are 100% Sure "DO NOT APPLY".
You must have / be
* Be atleast 18 years old.
* Have a stable Internet Connection.
* Have a decent computer, which means you at all times have atleast 30 FPS (also during heavy aoe etc).
* Required to post on our forum if you are late or not able to make one or more raids. At least 24hrs before.
*You must be in the raid by 19.15 and outside of the raid entrance.
* You must be able to take critisism or us pointing out what you can do better.
* You must have the guts, to ask if anything is unclear about a boss fight, we rather wanna explain things twice than wipe due to cluelessness
* You must have a Bossmod. Either DBM / bigwigs
* You must be willing to farm raid content for several months, to help keep the guild going untill the next tier
* You must be able to keep your focus even hours of wiping.
Minimum requirements to become a Trial of Nevermore are the following:
1) Excellent attendance / Have control of your play time. This means that you can play from 19.30 Server time until 24.00, 2 days a week, Wednesday and Thursday. Sometimes later and will not have Mummy knocking on your door telling you to turn the computer off.
2) Have good command of both written and spoken English and communicate on Ventrillo when required. Commuication is a key element of raiding and is something we regard to be "Essential" when applying to Nevermore.
3) Excellent raiding experience.
4) Suffice to say, optimal Enchanting/Gemming. Your character should be the best it possibly can be given your current situation. Not bothering to farm an item etc, is not a valid excuse.
5) Goes without saying that you should have a reasonable supply of cash and consumables. Raiding can get expensive and during progress you might not have the time to farm any consumables you might need.
6) Respect for your fellow Guild Members, You don't have to like them, but we all swim in the same pond, So Respect is very important.
7) You excel at playing not just your class, but each of it's specs, You know not just your own narrow role in an encounter, but can understand what each member of the raid is doing and why.
You recognise the need to constantly be improving, and are always looking for ways to maximise your contribution.
8) If you fuck up, then you fuck up. It happens. Admit it. We do not want to hear "My cat is on fire So I had to go AFK and extinguish it" not a valid reason.
9) PvE Prioritization, Short and simple. We are a hardcore PvE guild. Your priority, number 1, should be PvE! You don't play arena while we are doing raid invites. You don't leave raids early to go play arena.
You are of course fully buffed (flasks, food buffs) and PvE specced when raiding, even for farm raids.
10) Raid Time, You must be in the raid and stood outside of the raid zone by 19.15, sometime we like to discuss guild related issues / tactics and strategy etc before we start. So being outside of the raid zone at this time will allow us to keep you in the know without cutting into out raid time.
Why Nevermore?
We can offer prospective members the following benefits:
Dedicated, experienced Leadership:
Nevermore's leadership has been successful, and remained unchanged for 5+ years, with experience in hard core progression raiding in every raiding instance ever released.
As such, you should expect stable, consistent, and high quality guild and raid leadership.
Focused, progression oriented raiding:
Nevermore has clear goals which are progression oriented. We have a wealth of experience among our players which means high quality raids with like-minded individuals.
This is reflected in our loot system, Guild Bank, and Guild policies.
Consistent approach:
Nevermore has been a hardcore raiding outfit, performing consistently well over a long period of time. We have historically had incredibly low attrition and as such, we are able to be consistent in everything that we do
DKP System
When dividing loot we use a DKP system. When an item drops people want they whisper the officers conducting the roll the amount of DKP they wish to bid. The rules about DKP are as follows:
* You must NOT bid over the amount of DKP you have. Or the bid will not be accepted, It's up to you to know how much DKP you acquired.
* Bids will not be accepted if the item is OS for you. The item will be posted up a second time if no one needs it for MS.
Things which will help your Application.
* Combat logs. We are not here to hold your hand or "what is this" is a pretty good way for your application to be not considered. You can easily do combat logging yourself and it doesn't cost anything. So whats the problem? If playing well was your focus in this game you would use combat logs. You are applying here most likely because we are better than where you are and it is your responsibility as a raider to contribue and improve the performance of your raid as much as possible by any means available to you. Combat logs are a very powerful analytical tool. USE THEM!
* Screen shots. These actually tell us a lot about you as a player and what you value as a player. We ask for a screenshot because we want to see it. The screenshot should be in a raid environment (10 or 25) and ideally in combat. We don't expect you to have a pretty UI or anything like that. Just something that is effective. Default action bars etc; are perfectly acceptable. Tell us why you place the UI elements where you do.
* Your application is the first we see of you and in most cases, the last. It should say to us "OFMG this guy/girl/thing is awesome, really knowledgeable, knows the game inside and out, has good logs" (Believe it or not, DPS values isn't really something we look at in logs, show us the stuff you think we look at.)
* Write as much as possible, the best way to do this is to assume that we have no idea about your class, role and what you do in raids, you can include things like your dps rotation, healing priorities, what stats you value etc, This way we can see what you value as important. Bear this in mind when linking combat log links. We want to see things that you think and feel are pertinent.
* If you feel that there is something that you need to clarify on your application with one of the officers, You should put it in your application and not contact someone in game. If something changes then PM "Aria" on the forum and it will get updated.
Application Problems?
If you have any issues with your application and absolutely must talk with someone, contact Aria.
Please do not contact anyone in the guild about the status of your application until at least 2 weeks have passed.
If we are intrested in recruiting you, chances are we will contact you within a week. Sometimes it takes us a little longer when the requirement for the class is not that urgent.
Waiting 2 weeks shows us that you can be patient when needed and that you can follow instructions.
I've applied, what next?
We operate a three-step recruitment and selection process:
Stage 1 - Application Submission:
You will need to register on our website, and submit and application using our application form. Upon receiving your application, it will be discussed among the Officers in a private forum. All applications are dealt with in the strictest confidence.
We will aim to reply to you by private message on this forum to let you know whether or not we are interested in taking your application further within 1-2 weeks.
Stage 2 - Interview:
If we would like to take your application further, we will invite you for an interview with the Officers of the Guild. This will be conducted on our ventrilo server.
The purpose of the interview is to give us a chance to introduce ourselves to you and for us to get to know you a little better.
In addition, we can validate your application, ask any questions we might have about it, and explain what will be expected if you are invited to trial or ultimately, to join us.
If you have any questions for us, about raiding or the Guild in general, we will be happy to answer them for you.
Stage 3 - Trial:
If your interview is successful then we will invite you for an in-game trial. The length of the trial and any other specifics will be explained when we make the offer to you.
In general, the length of the trial will normally be 4 weeks this is dependant on your performance level.
If you are successful, you will be promoted to a membership rank in the Guild.
If you have read the following and are confident that you are Nevermore material please proceed to the following link to write your application. Please ensure you take the time out to spell check your application. If we do not feel you have put in the time or effort with this we will decline your application.
application.php - Application Form. (See Below)
