Why <Serious Players>?

Because we figured it would be best to have a name that described exactly the kind of players that we are.

Who are you and what have you accomplished to date?

<Serious Players> is an ALLIANCE guild on the Oceanic Thaurissan server with a legacy that traces back to 2 highly successful Singaporean guilds during the Burning Crusade. These guilds, Eternity (Top guild on Gorgonnash) and Resilience (Then in Aman'thul, Oceanic 1st kill of Twin Eredar in Sunwell Plateau), were merged towards the end of the Burning Crusade to better tackle "end of expansion" attrition, and the challenges that awaited us in Wrath of the Lich King.

We were one of the few guilds to finish the Sunwell before the 3.0 patch (We were using a temporary name of <Ghost> at the time), and are currently one of the few to have completed all content in Wrath of the Lich King to date, including the achievement lines for Normal and Heroic: Glory of the Raider.

What is the mentality and raiding style in <Serious Players>?

We believe in a no nonsense, bring your best, raiding environment, with the purpose of being on the forefront of the raiding scene in Oceania (We're consistently in the top 5 list of Oceanic guilds in terms of raid progression).

We raid in seasonal bursts, with 5 night raid weeks when new content is available to challenge us, allowing us to fight for our spot among the top progression guilds regionally, and 2 or even 1 raiding night per week when content is on farm. When Wrath of the Lich King came out, we rendered the content to farm status barely 3 weeks after the expansion's release (Including 3 Drake Sartharion), and currently raid 1 night a week.

Our raiders are expected to be able to consumable up without being requested to, and to bring their "A" game so as to not waste the time of people they are raiding with.

All in all, we play to beat the game, and to constantly challenge ourselves.

What days do you raid?

Our raiding days are Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Sunday and Monday on progression seasons, from 8pm to 12am (Sometimes later on Friday nights). Currently, while farming and trying to gain the achievements for the other raiders who don't have them, we raid only on either Weds or Thursday. We do however attempt Ulduar bosses on the Public Test Realm on weekend mornings.

What classes do you currently need?

We are currently looking for:

Hunters
Shadowpriests
Balance Druids

We might also be interested in a Protection Paladin and tanking Feral Druid.
