cant wait for them to do something, if it stops losing ticks with as much haste as we currently have its guna be higher priority than Rsk probably

It won't ever be above the priority of RSK until they buff the damage or change its functionality. All that them fixing the haste bug would do is try to force us into a ridiculous rotation for a ~1.3% dps increase that isn't even viable on most heroic encounters.

Am I the only guy who just hates using FoF?
4 sec channeling with melee feels bad....
Its like playing a caster without big numbers -.-

And this is exactly the problem with FoF. It's a great ability, just not one that should be designed into the single target rotation. I imagine when they fix it, it'll change in other ways as well.

Please tell me that simulationcraft is broken for the PTR... it's showing us loosing ~12k dps in 5.1 in both 2h and 1h WW specs.

And my 2 cents on the FoF bug, it sucks but if they fix it maybe they will fix it so we actually ADD a tick at which point it will be a good addition to our rotation. I'll be happy to use it at that time.

The action list is outdated, still trying to force you to stack TP 3 times instead of the new 1 stack 30% buff. I have it fixed locally just haven't found the time to commit yet.

Could anybody recommend a way of tracking "Power Strikes" through powauras or TellMeWhen? i know its not needed to do so, but i like to have all the information about my class infront of me, so my decision making is more clear

As it gets changed to a visible buff in 5.1 I'd not bother too much with it now.

The best way I found is using this addon:

Brewmaster Tao : Mists of Pandaria Beta : World of Warcraft AddOns

You can edit the Brewmaster part out in the LUA if you don't plan on tanking.

Played around with Simcraft and stat weights today to do some weapon comparison:

GN - Garakal Normal
GH - Garakal Heroic
SN - Shekzeer Normal
SH - Shekzeer Heroic
STN - Screaming Tiger Normal
STH - Screaming Tiger Heroic
GRN - Gao-Rei Normal
GRH - Gao Rei Heroic

From Simcraft:

2HDPS - 9.97
MHDPS - 9.06
OHDPS - 4.67
Agi - 2.91
Hit - 2.71
Exp - 1.95
Haste - 1.43
Crit - 1.26
Mastery - 0.89

The stat weights varied slightly between 2H and 1H dps, but still maintained the same priority order. I used the same weights for both specs just to get a better apples to apples comparison.

Reforged to maximize DPS here are my weapon priorities:

STN < GN/GN < GRN < SN/GN < STH < GH/GN < SN/SN < GH/GH < GH/SN < GRH < SH/GH < SH/SH

Having one Shek'zeer Normal is a +500 Agi boost, so it beats Garajal Heroic. If your guild can get Tsulong down on heroic, that staff is a better weapon until you can get your hands on a Heroic Shek'zeer.

Hey I've recently rerolled to monk and I have a couple questions regarding haste caps and CD usage that I haven't found direct answers to in this thread.

For haste cap I've read that somewhere around 6600 or 6700 haste crit starts to pull ahead however my simcraft has kept haste >= crit (by a minimal amount if >) until well into the 6900's, should I still be trying to reforge/gem out of haste to bring it back down? I've been going non FoF play style.

Also for TEB usage, I've gathered that the timing of the usage of the stacks doesn't matter (ignoring damage buffs on boss etc) as you get the same overall gain throughout the fight, I was wondering if it made sense to use TEB on trinket procs and EB regardless of the stack number or is it not worth the gain (if it even is a gain)?

As far as the "true" haste-cap for monks is concerned, it's the point where your energy regeneration makes you energy cap constantly. I don't know the exact point, but the point moves around depending on Mastery - if you're getting Combo-Breaker procs on every other Jab, you're not going to need a whole lot of haste to energy cap.

The haste cap normally discussed right now is the haste breakpoint where the bugged FoF is losing it's 5th tick - since you are not using FoF normally, this isn't really a big deal.

Unless you have no mastery on your gear, you're more than likely going to energy cap during a bloodlust phase, and this is ok. It's the consistent capping during a fight that you should be worried about and start to reforge out of haste (or possibly mastery if it is excessively high) if you hit that point.

Thank you for the reply regarding haste rating, I missed the reasoning behind it completely before but it makes sense.

Can we define consistent energy capping please?

I'm running with 6300 unbuffed haste, I rank on some fights consistently, and usually don't drop below ~90% of rank limit. I find that I don't have a problem with being energy capped consistently.

I've run with 6600 unbuffed haste and also never had a problem with being consistently energy capped. On the contrary, I've had to wait on energy regen for split seconds in order to blk.

It's only during Heroism/EB that energy is a non-issue.

There is talk over on the MMO-C forums that FoF seems to have been fixed on the PTR. Doesn't seem to have hit live servers but people are noticing 5 ticks while on live they are getting 4 ticks.
