I would personally shy away from adding trinkets to a shot macro. Trinkets should be macrod to Rapid Fire, as popping all your dps CDs at once increases DPS greater than popping them separately....

While this does seem like a nerf to Viper, it is also a nerf to Scorpid. While Scorpid is pretty useless for PvE, it can be a clutch ability in PvP against melee and other hunters.
