Well I like using imp Zerk Rage with 1/2 because it's a quite good way to gain some extra rage when you need it. I mean you can decide for yourself in every situation to pop it and gain extra rage.

Either your tanks are pretty bad or they just have no support, i tanked Brut for my own several times and with a good choice of gear, you can easily reach aps values around 1500-2000 with support.
