Ignite technically lasts 2 ticks. There's an ambience in the game where when you land your first Ignite, you don't know when the first tick occurs. It could be immediate, it could a full 2 seconds....

Awhile back I had it only reset the Ignites if it got "<name> dies" or "Ignite fades from <name>", but it wouldn't fall off, so I made a failsafe Ignite kill if the timer got to -3....

And yeah, Fire mages have ludicrous dps. When we started this fire fad we had a Mage pull aggro off Faerlina at 50%, and we sucked at the adds so the aggro was pretty enormous.
